Shueisha Games Launches Campaigns for Urban Myth Dissolution Center
In anticipation of the release of Urban Myth Dissolution Center, Shueisha Games has unveiled an exciting lineup of three distinct campaigns, which notably include a manga one-shot. Additionally, various collaborative events are set to take place in Japan, enhancing the anticipation for this upcoming title.
Manga One-Shot to Debut
The highlight of the manga campaign will be an original one-shot titled Case File: Kunekune, scheduled for publication on Jump+ on February 13, 2025. This one-shot draws inspiration from the Kunekune, an urban legend that emerged online and shares similarities with the infamous Slender Man mythos. Originating in 2001 on the Japanese message board 2ch, the Kunekune is characterized as a slender, white humanoid figure that contorts its limbs, with its name deriving from a Japanese term meaning to twist or wiggle.
Exclusive Events in Japan
Fans in Japan will have the opportunity to engage with the Urban Myth Dissolution Center through various special events at prominent locations. At Yodobashi Camera in Akihabara, as well as participating bookstores nationwide, attendees can expect unique offerings. Notably, customers spending over 1000 JPY at bookstores can receive an exclusive bookmark featuring one of six random designs, provided they show the campaign image. This promotion will run from February 13 to March 9, 2025.
Meanwhile, Yodobashi Camera will host an array of attractions, including a photo area, exhibitions that replicate game scenes, and an interactive mystery-solving event. The campaign at Yodobashi Camera is scheduled to run from February 17 to March 2, 2025. However, the mystery-solving experience is exclusive to February 22 and 23.
