Square Enix has expanded the Final Fantasy XIV Online Store with an exciting new addition: the Shagcat mount. Players can now experience the joy of riding a majestic Shagcoat Cat, complete with distinctive animations that enhance your adventures across both land and sky. Priced at $24, this delightful ride comes with a special whistle for summoning your feline companion.
Features of the Shagcat Mount
The Shagcat is designed to be an account-wide purchase, meaning every character on your account will receive a Shagcoat Cat Whistle in their inventory. This charming mount closely resembles popular cat breeds such as the Maine Coon or the Norwegian Forest Cat, adorned with a vibrant blue bow as its collar. When riding the Shagcat, players can enjoy three unique actions: a stretching motion, a paw-cleaning animation, and an adorable hissing gesture, adding personality to your aerial exploits.

Other Notable Cat Mounts
While the Shagcoat Cat is a noteworthy addition, it is not the only feline mount available in Final Fantasy XIV. The store previously introduced the Fatter Cat mount, based on the beloved Fat Cat mascot, which is also priced at $24. Moreover, players who acquired the A Realm Reborn Collector’s Edition were rewarded with a Coeurl mount, and Dark Knights have the opportunity to earn the fierce War Panther.
