Explore the Handcrafted City in the Starfield: Shattered Space Gameplay Trailer

Since its release, Bethesda has been consistently enhancing its latest RPG, Starfield, with fresh content and highly sought-after features. With the launch of the game’s first expansion, Shattered Space, approaching, the studio is offering players a closer look at what awaits them.

The studio has confirmed that this new expansion will center around the House Va’ruun faction, which players encounter in the base game. Venturing to the faction’s home planet, Va’ruun’kai, the upcoming questline is set in the meticulously crafted city of Dazra. This location allows players to explore over 50 new areas, encounter fresh enemies, and even discover new types of grenades made from “gross”organic materials.

The latest deep dive video released by Bethesda showcases the new planet players will be exploring, along with the gameplay experience.

“There’s so much mystery surrounding House Va’ruun. Their self-imposed isolation makes them the ideal faction to explore in a deeply engaging experience,”stated the studio. “From the moment you land on Va’ruun’kai, the narrative remains focused on life on the Va’ruun homeworld, although players are free to depart whenever they wish.”

According to Shattered Space Lead Quest Designer Brian Chapin, this expansion will delve into the consequences of humanity’s relentless pursuit of knowledge. A clandestine Grav-Drive experiment has caused a catastrophic rip in the fabric of spacetime, devastating a significant part of the capital city of Dazra. Players arrive just weeks after this disaster, facing a city thrown into turmoil with missing leadership and countless opportunities for role-playing.

The Starfield: Shattered Space expansion is set to launch on September 30 for PC and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Priced at $29.99, it will be free for players who own the Premium and Constellation editions of Starfield.
