Introducing Saber from Fate in Honkai: Star Rail
HoYoVerse has unveiled a fresh episode of “Keeping Up with Star Rail” on YouTube, providing an in-depth look at how Saber from the Fate series integrates into the Honkai: Star Rail universe. This episode teases Saber as one of seven Servants involved in the much-anticipated Penaconian Holy Grail War, which introduces elements from Fate/stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works. Following this announcement, a lighthearted video was released to further promote the crossover. Additionally, another Servant named Mr. Reca provided insights into Saber’s moveset while narrating segments of her combat sequences.
Saber’s Combat Abilities
In the showcase, Saber is classified as a five-star Destruction character adept at dealing Wind damage. Notably, her sword remains largely invisible due to her Magecraft and Wind abilities. Her Basic Attack, titled Invisible Air: Barrier of the Wind King, delivers damage to one enemy. Meanwhile, her Skill, Strike Air: Hammer of the Wind King, affects the primary target as well as two adjacent foes. Furthermore, Saber’s Dragon Reactor Core Talent enhances her damage output whenever allies utilize their Ultimates. This talent grants her a buff and activates Core Resonance, allowing her to convert it into Energy through Skill use, enabling her to execute her own Ultimate attack more swiftly.
Saber’s Ultimate is evocatively named after her iconic sword, Excalibur. This powerful attack inflicts Wind damage on all enemies and can also bounce additional damage to another adversary. Her attack pattern shares similarities with Blade’s approach: she commences with a single-target strike, follows up with a multi-target Skill, and culminates with an all-encompassing Ultimate.
