He stated, “There’s one that we’re working on that I’m very, very excited to see that we’ve never been before. But I’d also love to see it in Tokyo, Africa, and Iceland. I know that’s a weird one, but we want to span the globe because there are stories everywhere.”This comment highlights the franchise’s dedication to exploring diverse settings for the unfolding narrative.

Beyond geographical expansion, Gimple also hinted at broadening the universe of Daryl Dixon, suggesting potential for existing characters to encounter zombie contagions in varied global contexts. He noted, “It’s so integral to Daryl Dixon’s story. But beyond that, we want to see other characters throughout the world and how they’re faring.”He added that although some concepts for international stories have not yet materialized, they’ve been envisioned and developed creatively. This initiative may unlock a wealth of potential storylines and character developments.

The prospect of Gimple’s new “exciting” project is igniting enthusiasm among fans, especially as Dead City and Daryl Dixon are slated for a much-anticipated return. In the first season of Daryl Dixon, viewers witnessed the character navigate parts of France, with the upcoming third season set to explore Spain. Meanwhile, Maggie and Negan confront the undead in New York City. Expanding the franchise globally promises to introduce fresh narratives while honoring the comic book roots established by Kirkman.
