The renowned virtual YouTuber agency Hololive has made an exhilarating announcement regarding an upcoming collaboration with the globally celebrated anime series One Piece. A diverse ensemble of VTubers will join forces with two iconic Japanese artists, Hiroshi Kitadani and Maki Otsuki, to breathe new life into the classic One Piece theme song “We Go!”

This musical partnership will feature the newly arranged version of “We Go!” as the opening theme for the Special Edited Version of the One Piece Fish-Man Island Arc, slated for broadcasts in February and March 2025. This remastered edition significantly condenses the original storyline, reducing the total episode count from 57 to 21, and airs weekly on Sundays in Japan.

One Piece and Hololive Collaboration

The first version of the theme will debut during the February 2025 broadcasts, featuring Hololive talents Shirakami Fubuki, Houshou Marine, and Tsunomaki Watame collaborating with Maki Otsuki. Renowned for her early contributions to One Piece’s ending themes, Otsuki will enhance the new take on “We Go!” Additionally, the fresh arrangement will be orchestrated by Maho Fukushita, who previously crafted the ending theme “Dear Sunrise” for the Egghead Arc.

In March 2025, a globally diverse lineup of Hololive talents will shine, with Hololive English’s Takanashi Kiara and Hakos Baelz joining forces with Hololive Indonesia’s Kobo Kanaeru. Together, they will perform “We Go!” alongside the legendary Hiroshi Kitadani, famous for his previous One Piece themes. The arrangement for this rendition will come from notable Japanese electronic music creators TeddyLoid and tepe.
