“Excited Fans Anticipate Iconic Episode!” – Run Jin Unveils BTS’ Jin X Horror Episode Preview

On October 15, 2024, the tenth episode of Jin’s variety show, Run Jin, premiered on the BANGTANTV YouTube channel. This episode also provided fans with a preview of the upcoming episode 11, which is set to have a Halloween theme, featuring Kim Seok-jin, popularly known as Jin, in a horror-house setting.

The teaser unveiled the idol wandering through spooky, poorly-lit rooms within the haunted house, seemingly alone. Clad in traditional Korean attire, he held an action camera in one hand and a flashlight in the other.

As he navigates this eerie environment, Jin encounters actors in ghoulish costumes who leap out from various corners, adding to the suspense. The teaser humorously highlighted Jin’s startled reactions, with one caption humorously stating,

“[5 stars] He began to resemble a hamster”-Camera Team, Kim XX-

Another amusing title card credited the Audio Team for capturing the episode’s “best high notes”and “best sounds,”emphasizing the BTS member’s vocal expressions during terrifying moments. Additionally, one card mentioned that he participated in this episode out of love for the ARMY, BTS’s dedicated fanbase.

The preview also depicted Jin appearing so terrified that there were blurred-out curse words, and he even called out to the actors, exclaiming,

“Why are you so scary?”

Fans eagerly anticipated episode 11, set to release on Tuesday, October 22. One supporter shared their excitement on X, stating,

“Prepare for an iconic episode!”

Some fans expressed their wish to see J-Hope included in this episode, with others commenting that the preview resembled a horror movie trailer.

Highlights from Run Jin Episode 10 featuring BTS’ Jin and his friend Sandeul

This week’s installment of Run Jin transported the cast to the picturesque East Sea as Jin welcomed his long-time friend, B1A4’s Sandeul, as a guest. They recently appeared together on MBC’s Half-star Hotel In Lost Island, a seaside variety show, and their playful banter began right from the start.

As they boarded a boat, the duo was informed of a fake mission to catch fish. Just as they were about to cast their lines, they were approached by a patrol boat with blaring sirens.

Clearly stressed, Jin and Sandeul were asked for their identification and escorted to a larger vessel, where they realized they had been pranked. They found themselves on a much bigger ship bearing the name ‘Korea Coast Guard.’

Upon boarding the Coast Guard ship, Jin and Sandeul donned the official uniforms provided to them. An inspector from the Planning and Operations Division of the Donghae Coast Guard briefed them about their roles. As a surprise, they discovered it was “drill day”for the day’s activities, leading them to witness a simulation of a rescue operation for a drowning victim.

The challenge for the duo was to assist in transporting the simulated victim onto the ship for first aid. Keeping the mood light, they humorously asked the training victim if they were fans of BTS or B1A4 and which songs or members they liked best. The role player responded with Dynamite and Jin, prompting Jin to jokingly say,

“Help him quickly! Help him!!”

They received training on how to perform rescues of drowning individuals, during which Jin added a lighthearted touch by saying,

“You must like Jin the most in BTS, alright?”

Later, they ventured to a beach where Team Run Jin competed against six officers from the Donghae Regional Headquarters Korea Coast Guard in five unique games, hoping to win one million won for dinner.

Divided into two teams, each participated in rounds named – Basic Coast Guard Training, Upgraded Tuna Game, Teamwork Test, Hopscotch of Luck, and Mega Tug-of-War. Team Kim Seok-jin claimed victory in the first two games, while Team Sandeul won the next two, leading to a tiebreaker where Team Sandeul ultimately emerged as the winner.

As a token of appreciation, the Coast Guard team presented the idols with plush toys. The episode concluded with the traditional “Run Jin!”chant. However, after their defeat in the tug-of-war, Jin’s team faced a fun consequence, having to shovel sand into a large pit dug for the game. Fortunately, an excavator soon arrived to assist them in completing the task.
