Big Brother Season 26 recently saw the eviction of contestant Leah during the episode that aired on September 26, 2024. This eviction came as a surprise to Leah, who believed her alliance with Makensy was strong enough to protect her from being put on the block. Fans are aware that Chelsie’s primary target was Leah, and she aimed to evict her as quickly as possible.
When Makensy achieved the title of Head of Household (HOH) and won the Power of Veto competition, rumors began circulating in the house that Leah was planning to target both Chelsie and Makensy. Not pleased with this news, the HOH made a strategic move by replacing Kimo with Leah on the eviction block, thereby protecting Chelsie.
Leah, the nominee, consistently stated her loyalty to Makensy, emphasizing that she had no plans to betray her. In a conversation with Parade Magazine on September 27, 2024, Leah reiterated her support for Makensy, expressing her desire to be by her side and fulfill her promise to protect her through the end of the game.
The evicted contestant expressed her thoughts on Makensy’s gameplay, describing it as “shaky”and suggesting that if she continued to trust certain people, she might not secure a win. Leah shared her shock at being put on the block by Makensy:
“I was completely and utterly shocked being nominated by Makensy. She was someone I was really rooting to win this week, and someone that I really would have kept safe throughout the whole entire game.”
Leah’s Insight on Makensy’s Protection of Chelsie
Throughout Big Brother Season 26, Leah showcased her loyalty and developed strong friendships with fellow contestants Joseph Rodriguez and Quinn Martin. After her allies faced eviction, she placed her hopes on Makensy, who ultimately was swayed by Chelsie’s agenda.
Following her departure from the CBS reality show, Leah conveyed her regret over not targeting Chelsie when she had the chance as Head of Household. Previously, when Leah held the HOH title, she aimed to dismantle the powerful trio of Kimo, Rubina, and T’kor, believing that to secure her victory, breaking their alliance was crucial.
Now that Leah has exited the Big Brother house, she reflected that the outcome “could have been exactly the same”even with different strategies. She stated:
“I still believe that even if I completely changed everything, that the result could have been exactly the same. And for that reason, I don’t truly regret anything. I think it’s way easier said than done, and it’s easy to say, ‘If I just did this one thing, I would have lasted till the end.’ But I truly did what was best for me at the time, and I don’t regret a thing.”
Regarding her commitment to Makensy, Cam, and Chelsie, Leah clarified that had she remained in the competition, her loyalty to these players would have been unwavering. Instead of targeting Makensy, Cam, and Chelsie, Leah indicated her gameplay would have focused on competing against Rubina and Kimo.
