Situated in the Overworld, the Pale Garden is an intriguing new biome teeming with pale oak trees and lush pale moss that not only hangs from the branches but also carpets the forest floor. In this biome, ordinary hostile mobs can spawn in low light conditions, but an extra threat exists: the creaking mob.

The creaking is generated by a special block known as the creaking heart, which can spawn within the pale oak trees. When positioned appropriately between two pale oak log blocks, these creaking hearts can summon the creaking at night. This eerie mob will track players, but players have the chance to stop them by maintaining direct eye contact.

Notably, the creaking is resistant to damage. According to statements made during Minecraft Live 2024, defeating the creaking requires destroying the connected creaking heart block. Upon hitting this block, orange spore-like particles will indicate the location of the associated creaking heart.
