“Every Day is Bliss for STAY”: Stray Kids’ ATE Achieves Gold Certification by Selling Over 500,000 Units

On October 18, 2024, the Recording Industry Association of America awarded Stray Kids’ ninth mini-album, ATE, a Gold certification, recognizing sales of over 500,000 units. This milestone marks the K-pop group’s seventh RIAA gold certification. On the same day, Stray Kids expressed their heartfelt thanks on their official X account to their devoted fanbase, STAYs, for their unwavering support and affection.

For fans who may not know, ATE was launched on July 19, 2024, via JYP Entertainment and Republic Records. The album comprises eight dynamic tracks: Mountains, Chk Chk Boom, Jjam, I Like It, Runners, Twilight, Stray Kids, and the festival version of Chk Chk Boom.

The announcement of this significant achievement quickly spread across social media platforms, with fans ecstatically sharing their joy. One user on X wrote,

“Wow every day is a bliss for STAYs!!! 7th RIAA for Stray Kids!! Billboard entries, album sales verified with the RIAA certifications can only be done by organic growth and it’s so rare now in the industry. Well done Boys.”

Supporters celebrated the contributions of fans from the United States. Several acknowledged that the group reached this achievement merely three months after the album’s release, dubbing it a “masterpiece.”

Online users further celebrated Stray Kids’ accomplishments with ATE. One participant expressed excitement over “K-pop making great strides”in the United States.

More About Stray Kids

Stray Kids is a South Korean K-pop boy band that was established by JYP Entertainment following a 2017 reality show. The group consists of eight members: Lee Know, Bang Chan, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Changbin, Seungmin, and I.N. Active since 2018, they are affiliated with labels such as JYP Entertainment, Epic Japan, and Republic Records.

The group launched their unofficial debut extended play Mixtape in January 2018, followed by their official debut on March 25, 2018, releasing the EP I Am Not. This was followed by their EPs I Am Who and I Am You, completing the I Am series.

Their first studio album, Go Live, came out in 2020, and it became the group’s inaugural record to achieve platinum certification from the Korea Music Content Association. In recent developments, Stray Kids have embarked on their third world tour, titled DominATE, in promotion of their ninth mini-album, ATE.
