Within Limveld, players can find three to four different Churches, each offering a Flask Upgrade along with various consumable items. We strongly advise planning your exploration route to include these key locations. Accumulating three Flask upgrades will provide a substantial advantage against the Nightlord, bringing your total to 8 Crimson Flasks. In contrast, skipping these Churches leaves you with only 5 Flasks, which could prove detrimental in tough battles.
Understand Weapon Passives
Nightreign features a diverse range of weapons, each equipped with unique passive effects—ranging from enhanced magic resistance to improved health recovery. Importantly, these passives are active even when the weapons are not in hand, making it beneficial to maintain a well-rounded inventory of weapons tailored to your character’s strengths.
For instance, if you are playing as Ironeye, known for his archery skills, you should equip a bow and a melee weapon while ensuring the remaining inventory slots contain weapons or items that boost ranged damage or critical hit chances. Getting trapped as the Night’s Tide closes in can devastate your progress, leading to the loss of valuable Runes.

If you or your team trigger a Shifting Earth event, such as The Crater or Rotted Woods, use this to your advantage. On Day 2, the Night’s Tide often encircles the active event location, allowing your party ample time to explore without panic.

While many Nightfarers’ Ultimates are primarily for offensive strategies, several can also be utilized to resurrect downed teammates. Notably, the Guardian can target and revive allies, while the Executor’s and Duchess’s Ultimates provide strategic shield or invisibility for safe revives. Merchants in Nightreign offer vital items and weapon upgrades, located conveniently at Smithing Tables. You can pinpoint their locations on your map by pressing ‘Y’ on Xbox or ‘1’ on PC. This feature allows strategic route planning based on the available wares at each location.
Save Great Enemy Bosses for Later
As you progress through Nightreign, it will become evident that there’s a significant difference between standard bosses and Great Enemies. Focus on defeating the easier bosses on Day 1, leaving the more formidable Great Enemies for Day 2 when your character is better equipped. Quickly secure the Runes and rewards from standard bosses to level up before engaging tougher foes.
Seek Out Walking Mausoleums
Walking Mausoleums are rare sights in Nightreign, with only a handful appearing across numerous runs. When a Walking Mausoleum appears, it will be marked by a large red circle on your map.
