Upon starting their journey in Minecraft, players are greeted with an expansive map filled with various biomes to explore and creatures to battle. While many enjoy crafting and building in this sandbox environment, some enthusiasts opt to dive into the game’s narrative. This path involves traversing the world, facing off against hostile mobs, and ultimately conquering the primary antagonist, the Ender Dragon.
For those eager to quickly complete the storyline, only two mobs need to be vanquished: the Blaze and the Ender Dragon. This motivates many speedrunners to focus solely on these creatures, enabling them to finish the game in a matter of minutes.
Achieving Minecraft’s storyline victory by defeating just two mobs
Blaze
For players aiming to swiftly complete the Minecraft storyline, reaching the End dimension with minimal resources to defeat the Ender Dragon is key.
To access the End, players must gather Eyes of Ender, crafted using blaze rods and ender pearls. Endermen drop ender pearls upon defeat, which can also be obtained by trading gold with piglins found in the Nether. Players can collect gold from Bastion Remnants to trade it and receive ender pearls.
Blaze stands out as the only non-boss mob players must defeat, as it drops the essential blaze rods needed to craft the Eyes of Ender.
Players can typically find Blazes in Nether Fortresses. While some Blazes may not yield blaze rods, additional ones will continue to spawn from their designated spawners.
Ender Dragon
To conclude the game’s narrative, players must face and defeat the Ender Dragon, the ultimate boss mob. The End dimension, home to this fierce creature, can be accessed through a specific End portal found within strongholds. To find the stronghold, players can use Eyes of Ender, which will lead them there when tossed into the air.
Once inside the stronghold, players must place the Eyes of Ender in the portal to activate it.
The battle against the Ender Dragon begins immediately after entering the End. Players can use various weapons, including swords, axes, and arrows, or employ the famous bed explosion technique. In the End dimension, beds explode when used, much like in the Nether.
By placing beds near the central fountain where the dragon lands, players can trigger massive explosions, dealing significantly more damage compared to traditional weapons.
Following the defeat of the Ender Dragon, the central fountain transforms into an End portal, allowing players to return to the Overworld and officially conclude their adventure.
