Exploring Ernie Hudson’s Iconic Role as Winston Zeddemore in Ghostbusters
Despite being the fourth member to join the group, Ernie Hudson’s portrayal of Winston Zeddemore is consistently praised by fans of all the installments. As the main protagonist, Winston had to undergo a rigorous selection process before he was accepted as part of the parapsychologists team.
During his first interview with Janine Melnitz, Winston was asked about his thoughts on concepts such as mental telepathy and UFOs. He responded by stating that he would be more inclined to believe if there was a good financial incentive. Ray Stantz and Peter Venkman arrived at the location simultaneously, with Ray being the one to immediately choose Winston for the job.

Despite initially feeling frustrated in his new job, Winston still joined the rest of the group for the trial. During the court proceedings, the group’s restraining order was overturned after a confrontation with the Scoleri Brothers.
