Episode 13 Recap: The Relationship Drama Between Josh and Lily on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way

90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 6 premiered its latest episode on Monday, September 23, 2024. This segment showcased the evolution of Josh and Lily’s relationship after navigating through a challenging period in the previous episode.

Previously, Lily had hoped to elevate her bond with Josh by introducing physical intimacy into their relationship. Unfortunately, her aspirations were dashed by Josh’s distant behavior. Even after clearly communicating her desires, Josh found it difficult to meet Lily’s expectations, resulting in her feelings of dissatisfaction.

As a result, Josh’s lack of intimacy made Lily feel unloved. At a standstill, Josh understood that he needed to mend things with Lily to ensure the sustainability of their relationship.

In the most recent episode, Josh surprised Lily by organizing a romantic dance class, which allowed the couple to reconnect both emotionally and physically. Lily was touched by the thoughtful gesture, realizing that Josh did love her, even if he sometimes struggled to show it. Conversely, Josh felt relieved after reaffirming his feelings for her.

90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star Josh emphasizes his commitment to Lily

In a previous episode, Lily disclosed that she had not experienced any physical intimacy with her partner, Josh, since he relocated to China. Although embarrassed to discuss it publicly, she expressed her physical needs to Josh in front of the cameras, considering it a natural progression in their relationship.

Lily believed that Josh did not find her attractive, which led him to withdraw physically from her. Josh was aware that this was not true, so he knew he needed to reassure Lily of his feelings to heal their emotional connection.

In the latest episode titled “There’s Something about JoJo,”Josh remarked:

“Lily and I are definitely stuck in this reoccurring argument and feelings of pain or feeling unloved. But, I came all the way to China to be with her and I’m not giving up on this relationship.”

While addressing the cameras, the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star said that Lily’s only request was to feel loved. He believed that “moving across the world would show her that,”yet she desired “more gestures”in their daily lives, such as words of affirmation and acts of service. Thus, Josh arranged “something special for her.”

Lily was astonished when Josh informed her that he had a surprise planned. She felt delighted to know that Josh went the extra mile for her.

Josh took Lily to a Chinese dance class, which pleasantly surprised her. Reflecting on the moment, Lily shared:

“It was so hard for me to tell Josh that I don’t feel loved by him. And I am so happy he is finally listening.”

The couple then donned their costumes and exchanged compliments about each other’s appearance. Soon, they began to follow the dance routine as taught by their instructor, Rose. Josh lifted Lily and twirled her around the room, rekindling her memories of why she fell in love with him.

The 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star revealed:

“It gives me hope for our future.”

Meanwhile, Josh acknowledged that this was “the exact kind of reset”they needed before their upcoming wedding. He expressed hope that they could put their differences behind them and concentrate solely on their future together.
