“Entering Full Ye Art Studio Mode”: Internet Responds to Alleged Texts Between Digital Nas and Kanye West Suggesting New Album

American record producer, Digital Nas, took to social media today to share multiple screenshots of an alleged conversation with Ye, the artist once known as Kanye West. In these messages, the Vultures rapper appears to confirm that he is working on new music.

The chat reportedly captures a discussion between Kanye and Nas about a track titled bLCK hedi, where both artists are talking about the outcomes of the record’s new mix. When it was suggested that Ye should release the single independently, the rapper responded by stating:

“I need to set it up where it’s not my responsibility though. I’m going into my full Ye art studio mode”

Reposts of these alleged screenshots quickly went viral, sparking numerous discussions among Kanye West fans across various social media platforms about the potential “new music”Ye is currently creating.

Many fans praised the artist for what they hope will be a return with a “solo album,”drawing parallels to unreleased records like PREACHER MAN and other celebrated works from Ye’s extensive discography.

“The last time I saw Kanye do this, he dropped mbdtf. Thank God I was introduced to his music”- said a fan.

“THE GOAT IS COMING BACK”- commented another.

“We’re not gonna talk about how he mentioned they have a fire unreleased single ready for release”- another chimed in.

“His solo album is gonna be fire. Kanye hasn’t really missed on solo albums”- added a fan.

“NEXT YE SOLO BOUT TO HIT”- stated another.

“If we get a full album of quality songs like PREACHER MAN that bring back the gospel aesthetic I’m here for it, but I sadly don’t see that happening”- wrote an individual.

“Just make sure to leave a little room for some *non-controversial* art! Can’t wait to see what masterpieces emerge from this studio mode!”- a fan mentioned.

Meanwhile, critics recalled recent issues from Ye and Ty’s Vultures 2 album rollout, in which the project was made available on streaming platforms “unfinished.”Following the release, Ye altered multiple tracks on the tracklist, subsequently re-releasing the remastered project on digital service providers (DSPs).

“Is the mixed and mastered in the room with us?”- a critic stated.

“All this hype just to get an album that’s 25% finished.”- said another.

One fan was even seen expressing a desire for West to “lock in”on his new project, indicating their hope for the “real Kanye”to finally return with a new LP, especially with the rumors of a forthcoming solo album.

Kanye West Releases Live Remix for Unreleased Track ‘PREACHER MAN’

On September 25, Kanye West took to Instagram to share a brief preview of his unreleased song tentatively titled PREACHER MAN, which he also performed live at a recent concert in Haikou, China.

The preview showcases a sound reminiscent of Ye’s earlier work, characterized by his creative use of “soul sample chops”in music production. Fans across the internet expressed their excitement over the video and appreciated West’s return to his “old ways”of sample-heavy soul music.

Other well-known artists who showed support for Kanye West in the comments include frequent collaborators such as Travis Scott, Ty Dolla $ign, Steve Lacy, and Channel Tres.

According to a report from HypeBeast, the last time Kanye West mentioned being “locked in”was in 2010, during a challenging period following his controversial remarks regarding Taylor Swift’s win for “Best Music Video”at the 2009 MTV VMAs.

Following this, Kanye released what is now considered one of hip-hop’s greatest albums, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, on November 22, 2010.

Shortly after West shared a live sample cut of PREACHER MAN, Digital Nas used Instagram to post screenshots of his exchange with Ye, hinting at a solo album being in development.
