Transforming Outlook: Microsoft 365 Copilot Updates Await Users

In a major enhancement to its productivity suite, Microsoft introduced Copilot integration into Outlook back in 2024. This feature empowered users by offering tools such as email summarization, writing coaching, and automated email drafting, significantly streamlining communication tasks.

New Voice-Activated Features Announced at Ignite 2025

During the Ignite 2025 event, Microsoft unveiled exciting updates for Microsoft 365 Copilot, aiming to enrich the email and calendar experience. A standout feature is the introduction of an interactive voice capability in the Outlook mobile app. This innovation allows users to verbally command Copilot to deliver summaries of unread emails, generate responses, and execute standard email functions such as deleting or archiving messages.

This voice experience is currently accessible to early adopters on both iOS and Android devices through TestFlight and Google Play’s beta testing initiatives, respectively.

One-Tap Prompts for Enhanced Efficiency

For those who prefer a more traditional interaction style, Microsoft is introducing one-tap Copilot prompts. These prompts allow users to quickly perform essential email tasks with ease. Options like “Triage my inbox, ” “What needs my reply?” and “Summarize and reply” enable faster decision-making and interaction. These features are now generally available across various Outlook platforms, including Windows, web, iOS, and Android, as well as in the classic Outlook interface.

Calendar Integration: Streamlining Meeting Scheduling

Microsoft 365 Copilot is also extending its capabilities to Outlook Calendar. Users can engage with Copilot to schedule meetings, allowing the tool to identify open time slots, reserve rooms, draft meeting agendas, and send invitations all through conversational commands. This feature is now widely available to Microsoft 365 Copilot license holders.
