Microsoft Releases Windows 11 Canary Channel Build 27871 for Insiders
Microsoft has introduced a new Canary Channel build, 27871, for Windows Insiders. This latest release primarily focuses on enhancements to Phone Link, refined energy saver management through Microsoft Intune, and a series of bug fixes.
Energy Saver Management in Microsoft Intune
With build 27871, IT administrators gain enhanced control over power management. This build allows them to set energy-saving policies via the Local Group Policy Editor or through the Microsoft Intune Admin Center. By activating the energy saver feature, background activities are limited, and screen brightness is reduced, ultimately optimizing power consumption without compromising system performance.

Improvements to Phone Link Integration
In this build, the Phone Link feature within the Start menu has been updated to reflect enhancements previously seen in the Dev and Beta Channels. Key updates include:
- Notifications are now consolidated in the Phone Link pane.
- Android users can activate screen mirroring with a single click.
- Support for iPhone photo memories has been added.

Visual Enhancements to App Notifications
Additionally, Microsoft has made visual updates to the “needy state pill” notifications in apps that require user attention, making them larger and more prominent on the taskbar.
