New Features in Windows 11 Build 22635.4445: Enhanced File Sharing Capabilities

On November 8, Microsoft unveiled Windows 11 build 22635.4445 in the Beta Channel, introducing a range of enhancements for Windows Insiders, particularly focused on the File Explorer and taskbar functionalities. Apart from the known updates, there are also significant but undocumented improvements aimed at enhancing file-sharing options.

Improved File Sharing Options

As reported by @phantomofearth, Microsoft is exploring additional avenues for sharing files that could make the user experience more seamless. Upcoming updates to Windows 11 will allow users to share local files directly from the Recommended section of the Start menu. Users can easily right-click on a file and select “Share” to initiate this process.

Moreover, jump lists in the taskbar will also see the introduction of a Share button, strategically placed next to the pinning functionality, facilitating quicker access to sharing options.
