No Updates for Stable Builds Soon
If you’re not part of the Windows Insider Program and prefer the stability of official releases, prepare for a pause on updates for both Windows 10 and 11. Last month, Microsoft confirmed that the November 2024 non-security update series would be the final release of the year. To align with the holiday schedule, Microsoft has opted not to provide December 2024 non-security updates, although Patch Tuesday updates proceeded as normal.
Looking Ahead: January Updates and CES 2025
Anticipate new preview builds and optional non-security updates for Windows 10 and 11 to resume in January, following the holiday season. The New Year will also commence with CES 2025, showcasing an array of innovative consumer technology, including the first commercially available laptop featuring a rollable display. With an exciting lineup ahead, now is the time to unwind and enjoy the festive winter season.
