Dancing With the Stars has returned for its 33rd season, captivating audiences with thrilling performances, intense competition, and dramatic eliminations. The show, famous for pairing celebrities with expert dancers, challenges its participants to master various dance styles over multiple weeks.
This season commenced with a special Oscars Night theme, featuring tributes to iconic films such as Dirty Dancing, The Godfather, and La La Land. While no eliminations took place in the premiere week, co-hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough announced that two couples would be sent home in Week 2 of Dancing With the Stars.
After a series of performances, the combined judges’ scores and audience votes led to the elimination of Tori Spelling with Pasha Pashkov, and Anna Delvey with Ezra Sosa.
Double Elimination in Dancing With the Stars Season 33
Tori Spelling and Pasha Pashkov
Tori Spelling, famously known for her role in Beverly Hills, 90210, along with her partner Pasha Pashkov, performed a rumba to This Is Me from The Greatest Showman. Their performance garnered a score of 19 out of 30, leading to a cumulative total of 36 over both nights.
Despite receiving positive feedback from judges about Spelling’s emotional performance, it was not enough to keep them in Dancing With the Stars. Spelling expressed her hope to inspire her children by demonstrating that they can achieve anything they aspire to.
Anna Delvey and Ezra Sosa
Anna Delvey, who gained fame from Inventing Anna, teamed up with professional dancer Ezra Sosa to perform a quickstep to Suddenly I See by KT Tunstall from The Devil Wears Prada. They scored 17 out of 30, culminating in a two-night total of 35.
Delvey, who joined the competition to alter public perceptions, simply said “Nothing” when asked what she would take away from the experience. Despite showing flashes of potential, Delvey and Sosa did not secure enough support to move forward in Dancing With the Stars.
