The recent report by Newzoo highlights the top-performing video games worldwide based on revenue and monthly active users (MAU) for May 2025. Among the notable performances, “Elden Ring: Nightreign”demonstrated an impressive start, while “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered”from Bethesda continues to secure a spot in the top 20 rankings across both metrics.

“Elden Ring: Nightreign”made its debut on May 30, just before the end of the month, yet it quickly climbed to the fourth position in revenue generation. Leading the charts were the usual heavyweights: “Fortnite, ”which retained the top spot, followed by “EA Sports FC 25″and “Call of Duty”in second and third places, respectively.

In a consistent performance, “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered”has now spent two consecutive months within the top 20 for both revenue and MAU. Additionally, id Software’s “DOOM: The Dark Ages”emerged as a strong contender, making its way to the ninth position in the revenue rankings.
