Elden Ring Nightreign Quest Guide: How to Complete the Ironeye Remembrance

Elden Ring Nightreign Quest Guide: How to Complete the Ironeye Remembrance

Whether you’re embarking on a solo adventure, teaming up with friends, or joining forces with random players, Ironeye stands out as one of the premier characters in Elden Ring Nightreign. His straightforward toolkit not only makes him accessible for new players but, when utilized effectively, can yield substantial damage in various combat scenarios.

This leads to the intriguing question of who Ironeye truly is, especially given the fact that bows are not typically favored weapons in Elden Ring. An accomplished assassin, he is affiliated with a group known simply as the Fellowship. But what exactly is the Fellowship, and who is the target of Ironeye’s pursuits?

To uncover these secrets, players must engage in Ironeye’s story quests. Even if these details aren’t of prime interest, completing his quests is highly recommended, as they reward players with some of the game’s best relics.

Below is a comprehensive, spoiler-free guide to the Ironeye Remembrance quest, detailing everything you need to know—from initiating the quests to collecting the rewards.

How to Acquire Memory Fragments for Ironeye

Elden Ring Nightreign Get Memory Fragments For Ironeye

Memory Fragments for Ironeye and other characters can be obtained by defeating a Nightlord. Collecting a sufficient number of these fragments is essential before you can commence his Remembrance quests.

The easiest Nightlord to take down is Gladius, the Beast of Night, who has a notable weakness to Holy damage. To simplify this encounter, seek out enemy encampments, forts, or significant churches marked with the Holy icon. These locations often provide players with Holy weapons, making the battle more manageable.

While Gladius is the most accessible target, any Nightlord will yield Memory Fragments upon defeat, so choose one that you feel most comfortable confronting. Additionally, there’s a small chance to earn Memory Fragments by failing expeditions, so ensure that you complete every mission you embark on.

Chapter 4 – Locating the Traitor’s Letter

To initiate the quest, head to the eastern wing of the Roundtable Hold and interact with the Journal located in the library. Proceed to Chapter 4 and select “Begin Remembrance”to be transported to the Realm of Remembrance.

Next, navigate to the western wing of the Roundtable Hold where the Small Jar Bazaar is located. Descend the steps to engage the Priestess.

If you’re uncertain about which NPC to speak with, you can reference your journal for clarity. Checking your map for NPCs marked with an exclamation point also helps.

Engage with both dialogue options—first “About the Fellowship, ”followed by “About the traitor”—and exhaust all her response options. This will unlock a new dialogue choice.Select “Accept task”to add a personal objective to your quest log.

Your subsequent task is to travel to Limveld and defeat the other Ironeye.

During remembrance quests, only one party member may participate at a time, and you must play as the character whose quest you wish to complete. Start an expedition against any boss, then check your map for a marker. Travel to this location and face off against the Night Huntsman. Defeating him will yield the Traitor’s Letter as your reward.

After completing the expedition, you will return to receive the Traitor’s Letter. If completing this quest solo, you may choose to die at the end of Day 1 after defeating the Night Huntsman to still acquire the letter.

Once back at the Roundtable Hold, return to the Priestess to show her the Traitor’s Letter. A portal will then appear nearby, allowing you to finish the remembrance. This concludes the first quest.

Chapter 4 Rewards

Upon finishing the first Ironeye remembrance quest, you will receive the following:

  • Traitor’s Letter (Key Item)
  • Ironeye’s Chalice
  • Cracked Wax Sealing

Ironeye’s Chalice features red, green, and white slots and can be used during relic rites. The Cracked Wax Sealing is a distinctive yellow relic that grants a special passive ability to Ironeye, enhancing the duration of his weak points and awarding runes upon landing Critical Hits.

Chapter 6 – Defeating The Undying

Ironeye Chapter 6 Get Edge Of Order

For this chapter, return to the previous location where you spoke with the Priestess and turn left. The door to the crypt should now be open. Go inside to find the traitor along with the Priestess.

Engage in dialogue with the traitor and exhaust his responses. He will ask you to end his life, so choose the “Execute him”option. Following this conversation, a new personal objective will be added.

Next, converse with the Priestess, who will instruct you to locate the Night Centaurs in order to obtain the Edge of Order.

This task can be rather challenging. You must defeat Fulghor, the Champion of Nightglow. To do this, initiate the Darkdrift Knight expedition.

This boss is particularly vulnerable to lightning—consider equipping a relic that enhances your starting equipment with a Lightning weapon. If you don’t possess such a relic, seek out Lightning weapons or grease during your expedition.

It doesn’t matter whether you tackle this expedition solo or with a team, as long as you defeat Fulghor while playing as Ironeye. Once you complete this challenge, you will acquire the Edge of Order.

After returning to the crypt, speak with the traitor once more and execute him again. He will reveal vital truths to Ironeye. Feel free to engage with the Priestess for additional dialogue, and then activate the portal to complete the Remembrance.

Chapter 6 Rewards

Upon successful completion of the second Ironeye remembrance quest, you will receive:

  • Edge of Order

The Edge of Order is a yellow relic that enhances Ironeye’s thrusting counterattacks after executing his Ultimate Art. This relic also modifies your starting equipment to deal Holy damage and increases bow attack power.

Chapter 7 – The Night Is Far From Over

This time around, you won’t have the “Begin Remembrance”option available, which might leave you feeling uncertain, but there’s no need for concern. To progress, all that remains is defeat the Night Aspect.

Much like the battle with Fulghor, you can tackle this boss solo or as part of a team. However, playing as Ironeye implies that equipping Edge of Order would be beneficial, as it guarantees your weapon deals Holy damage.

This encounter consists of two phases. If you’re going at it alone, consider acquiring at least one or two Wending Grace items before beginning the fight. Coordinating with teammates, if you’re in a group, can also ease the challenge significantly.

For Ironeye, choose weapons with passives that either reduce damage drop-off or enhance damage when two-handing. It’s advisable to reach a minimum level of 13 before facing this boss.

The initial phase of the fight is relatively straightforward, as the boss has limited attacks in the first half but becomes increasingly aggressive after you deplete half of its health.

For the second phase, utilize Ironeye’s character skill, Marking, to create space as needed while evading attacks.

Defeating the boss will transport you to a grayed-out version of the Roundtable Hold.

From the room featuring the Table of Lost Grace, move north. Interact with the corpse and select “Clench Dagger.”When prompted with “Truly wield the blade?”, respond with “Yes.”

This will trigger Ironeye’s alternate ending cutscene, and upon its conclusion, you will unlock his Remembrance outfit along with his Chapter 8 entry in the Journal.

Chapter 7 Rewards

Upon completing the third Ironeye remembrance quest, you will be rewarded with:

  • Remembrance outfit

You can equip this outfit from the dresser to admire it. While it may not be Ironeye’s finest appearance, if you seek a more visually appealing skin, consider spending murk to procure his other outfits.
