This guide serves to navigate you through the intricacies of the Duchess Remembrance quests, ensuring you are well-prepared to avoid any pitfalls along the way.
Unlocking the Duchess and Revenant

Before delving into the Duchess’s Remembrance quests, it is essential to unlock both the Duchess and Revenant characters. Here are two paths to activate Duchess:
- Defeat the formidable Nightlord Gladius, known as the Beast of Night.
- Fail expeditions sufficiently to acquire the Old Pocketwatch.
Regardless of the method chosen, once you obtain the Old Pocketwatch, engage with the Priestess, who will request to reclaim it. Hand over the Old Pocketwatch to unlock the Duchess as a playable character.
Regarding Revenant, procure the Besmirched Frame from the Small Jar Bazaar for 1500 Murk and present it to the ghost located in front of the painting in the eastern room, adjacent to the table of lost grace. You will be teleported to Limveld, where you must confront the Night Idol. First, eliminate her summons to maintain focus during the main fight. Upon defeating her, you will successfully unlock the Revenant.
Once both characters are unlocked, your next objective is to gather Memory Fragments for the Duchess to initiate her first Remembrance quest.
How to Obtain Memory Fragments for the Duchess

Obtaining Memory Fragments is relatively straightforward; you acquire them by defeating Nightlords while playing as the Duchess. While there’s a minor chance of obtaining them even during failed expeditions, the likelihood is low. Therefore, aim to defeat Nightlords as frequently as possible to maximize your Fragment collection.
Chapter 3 – Obtaining the Faded Iron Coins

When ready, head to the library in the eastern wing of the Roundtable Hold and interact with the Journal. The first Remembrance quest for the Duchess launches in Chapter 3. Select “Begin Remembrance” to initiate the mission.
Start by engaging with Raider, found near the table of lost grace. He expresses concern for Wylder and prompts you to check on him.
Proceed to the room beyond the Journal, where you will find Wylder polishing his sword. Speak to him and exhaust his dialogue; he will instruct you to return once he finishes mending his equipment.
Upon returning to Raider, he will request you to “fetch him something to tune up his weaponry, ” adding a personal objective for your Limveld expeditions.
Engage in any Nightlord expedition, and look for a location marked on your map. Proceed to this spot and confront the three Guardians of the Dew. Once they are vanquished, you can search a bright yellow bush to gather the Golden Dew.
Complete the expedition to ensure you receive the Golden Dew as one of the rewards, irrespective of your success against the Nightlord.
Upon returning to the Roundtable Hold, deliver the Golden Dew to Wylder, who will reward you with Faded Iron Coins. Engage with him thoroughly, then proceed to talk to Raider.
Raider will mention that Revenant is seeking you in the Garden. After conversing with her, she will share information about Wylder’s state.
