Among the Nightfarers, Ironeye stands out, and his Remembrance quest delves into a storyline laced with betrayal, murder, and unsettling truths. Below is your comprehensive Elden Ring Nightreign Ironeye Remembrance quest walkthrough, designed to guide you through the archer’s objectives effectively.
Elden Ring Nightreign: Ironeye Remembrance Quest Guide
The Ironeye Remembrance journey is composed of three segments, each expanding on his story and challenges.
Ironeye Remembrance #1
Your first encounter with Ironeye’s Remembrance arises during Chapter 4 of his Journal. Should you not have unlocked this yet, focus on completing Expeditions as Ironeye until you obtain a Memory Fragment, granting access to newer chapters.
After unlocking the first Remembrance, begin by examining your map for any yellow exclamation marks, indicating your quest objective. Engage with the Priestess, who is located to the west of the Turnover Hold. Descend past the Visual Codex, and you’ll find her at the foot of the stairs.

The Priestess will inform you of a traitor who must be eliminated. Accept the task to embark on a personal objective: to discover the cataclysm in Limveld.
Begin your Expedition and consult your map for an orange-red quest marker that directs you to your destination. Upon arrival, you’ll encounter the Night Huntsman. After defeating him, claim the glowing, legendary item—the Traitor’s Letter. Continue your Expedition as usual.

Upon your return to the Hold, converse with the Priestess to deliver the Traitor’s Letter. This completes the first segment of Ironeye’s Remembrance, rewarding you with Ironeye’s Chalice and the Cracked Sealing Wax Relic.
Ironeye Remembrance #2
The second Remembrance event unlocks in Chapter 6 of Ironeye’s Journal, where your new objective will be to find the traitor. To initiate this segment, you may need to defeat four Nightlords beforehand.
Return to the location where you previously met the Priestess in the Hold, and look for another door on her left, leading down to the Crypt. You can also fast-travel here if you have discovered it on your map.

Inside the Crypt, you will discover the traitor: an Ironeye slumped against an altar, under the watchful eye of the Priestess. After speaking to both the Priestess and the traitor, you will be prompted to execute him but find that he cannot be killed just yet.
Once again, speak with the Priestess, who will set you a new objective: defeat the Darkdrift Knight in Limveld.
The Darkdrift Knight poses a significant challenge; he’s regarded as one of Nightreign’s tougher Nightlords. Equip yourself with Lightning armaments and Holy Damage Negation to increase your chances of victory.
Engage the Darkdrift Knight in Expeditions as Ironeye within the scope of the Remembrance until you achieve success. If you require assistance, refer to our comprehensive Darkdrift Knight boss guide.
Upon his defeat, you will receive the Edge of Order item. Return to the Crypt to confront the traitor and end his life using this item. He will then disclose a crucial secret: Ironeye and his allies are cursed to remain as Those Who Live in Death until the Nightlord is vanquished. With this knowledge, follow up by speaking once more to the Priestess to conclude this Remembrance and earn the Edge of Order Relic.
Ironeye Remembrance #3
The final segment of Ironeye’s Remembrance is not a traditional Remembrance event.
If you prefer to avoid spoilers, defeat the Night Aspect first and observe the sequence that follows. Guidance for this battle is available in our Night Aspect boss guide.
Upon completing the battle with the Night Aspect as Ironeye, you find yourself transported to an eerie version of the Roundtable Hold, resembling the boss arena.
Delve deeper to discover a corpse seated cross-legged. You will face two choices when you interact with it: offer the Nightlord’s Rune or grip your dagger. Each choice yields different outcomes:
- Offer the Nightlord’s Rune: This grants you the primary ending of Nightreign but does not complete Ironeye’s Remembrance or unlock his outfit.
- Clench dagger: This option provides Ironeye’s conclusion for Nightreign, completes his Remembrance, and unlocks his outfit.
Rest assured, choosing one option does not permanently lock you out of the other; you can revisit and achieve both endings later.
For the sake of completing Ironeye’s journey, it is recommended to choose ‘Clench dagger’.Should you then defeat the Night Aspect again as Ironeye or another character, you can later opt to offer the Nightlord’s Rune to unlock the original game ending.
By selecting ‘clench dagger’, you will experience a unique cutscene before being sent back to the Hold. Completing this final step fulfills Ironeye’s Remembrance and rewards you with his Remembrance Outfit.
