However, the game’s decision to focus solely on a new region may overlook one of its predecessor’s most alluring features: the expansive underground zones.
After its reveal at The Game Awards 2024, Elden Ring Nightreign was confirmed to take place entirely in a new area named Limveld. Described as a dark reflection of Limgrave, this region promises a blend of familiar visuals and innovative elements. With a randomized map layout, Limveld aims to captivate players. Yet, the absence of any mention of subterranean locations raises significant concerns, as the underground elements of the original game played a critical role in the overall gameplay experience.
