Elden Ring Nightreign features an intriguing gameplay element known as Raids, which are spontaneous boss encounters that players may encounter throughout their expeditions. There are five distinct types of Raids, each offering unique challenges and rewards. Successfully defeating a Raid boss grants you and your teammates significant Power boosts that can greatly enhance your gameplay.
Among these Raids, the Augur Raid stands out as one of the rarest occurrences. In this event, players are tasked with defeating a mini-boss version of Maris, known as the Fathom of the Night. Fortunately, this mini-boss presents a lower challenge than its more formidable counterpart, the Nightlord.
This guide aims to provide comprehensive insights into the Augur Raid in Elden Ring Nightreign, covering initiation methods, execution details, and the rewards players can expect.
Initiating the Augur Raid in Elden Ring Nightreign

In Elden Ring Nightreign, the Augur Raid’s occurrence is entirely random, meaning players cannot specifically trigger it at will. This randomness adds an element of chance, as players must rely on the game’s RNG to unveil this rare encounter. To increase your likelihood of experiencing the Augur Raid, I recommend repeatedly running the Equilibrious Beast and Darkdrift Knight Expeditions, which have proven to yield better chances for spawning this event.
Understanding the Augur Raid Mechanics

Once the Augur Raid commences, an alert will appear in the upper right corner of your screen, stating, “Giant bubbles are forming.” This signal is your cue to look out for large blue bubbles appearing in the sky, alongside one prominent dome-like bubble on the ground. To officially initiate the Augur Raid, you need to enter the ground bubble.
Be aware that these giant bubbles may spawn directly around you, leading you straight into the boss battle. Alternatively, you might need to navigate your character to reach the bubble. I’ve encountered instances where adverse weather conditions delayed my approach, so agility during this phase is vital.
If you experience difficulty locating the bubble, your game map can assist; a raid marker will be generated for you. It’s prudent to ping your team with the bubble’s location to ensure seamless coordination.
Upon successful completion of the Augur Raid, the bubbles will vanish from the map, and all participating teammates will receive their Power reward.
Rewards from the Augur Raid

As highlighted earlier, participants will find the Augur Raid relatively accessible, often not requiring a high character level to succeed. For example, I managed to defeat the mini-boss successfully while only at level 4.
The Power gained from this Raid remains active for the entire expedition duration for each member of your team. This benefit is particularly advantageous for players utilizing FP-intensive characters like the Revenant or Recluse, allowing for increased spell-casting capabilities during critical moments, especially on Day 3 against formidable foes like the Nightlord. Thus, securing this Power is undeniably worthwhile.
