Efficient Rupee Farming Strategies in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom places you in the role of Princess Zelda, as she embarks on a quest to rescue Link. While the gameplay roles are flipped, acquiring Rupees remains as crucial as in any other title of the Zelda series. Rupees serve as the main currency in the game, necessary for purchasing healing items, food, cosmetics, and completing various quests.

Farming Rupees in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom can be a time-consuming task, particularly during the early stages of the game. Nevertheless, there are effective strategies you can implement to quickly accumulate your currency, as outlined in this guide.

Top Strategies for Farming Rupees in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

1) Cutting Grass

Long-time Legend of Zelda enthusiasts know that cutting grass with a sword can yield Rupees. However, unlike Link, Zelda does not wield a sword. Instead, she can cut through grass, weeds, and plants using her spin attack.

To perform this action, tap the R button on your Switch to make Zelda spin in a circle. This spin attack does not damage enemies but effectively cuts grass. Once you teleport to a grassy area, begin cutting grass and vegetation, and you’ll soon see your Rupee count increasing.

2) Opening Treasure Chests and Breaking Destructible Items

Throughout Hyrule, you’ll find Treasure Chests that have a good chance of containing significant amounts of Rupees. Explore maps and dungeons, solve puzzles, and defeat monster camps to discover these treasure chests.

Additionally, while exploring dungeons, you can find destructible items. Breaking these objects may reward you with Rupees and other valuable items.

3) Defeating Enemies and Bosses

You can accumulate a considerable number of Rupees by taking down every monster and boss you encounter on your adventure. Visit areas with a high concentration of enemies and defeat them for a chance to receive Rupees as drops.

Keep in mind that it’s not guaranteed that you will earn money every time you defeat an enemy. That said, it can be a rewarding method if you are skilled in combat.

4) Utilizing the Crow Echo

This strategy requires you to progress through the game until you reach the Suthorn Ruins Dungeon. After completing the dungeon, you will encounter Impa’s older brother, Lueberry, who will ask you to catch two rifts in the Jabul Ruins and Gerudo Desert.

Head west from Lueberry’s home to enter a desert area populated by Crow enemies. Defeat any Crow using your own Echo and acquire the Crow Echo. If you possess two or more Tri-Powers, you can summon this Crow Echo.

Then, target an enemy with the Crow Echo to attack and defeat them. After vanquishing an enemy, the Crow Echo will drop a few Blue or Green Rupees. Additionally, the Echo will collect any Rupees that might be lying around nearby.

5) Selling Excess Items

A straightforward method for earning Rupees is by selling surplus materials found in your inventory. Items such as Tough Mango Smoothies and Golden Eggs are particularly valuable in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, with the potential to fetch 50 Rupees and 150 Rupees, respectively.

You can discover Golden Eggs by opening chests, while Tough Mango Smoothies can be crafted using the Tough Mango Plant located in the Oasis of Gerudo Desert.
