Effective Strategies from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Players to Conquer Meowscarada Tera Raids

In the aftermath of the 2025 Pokémon Day celebrations, players of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have collaboratively devised strategies to conquer the formidable Seven-Star Tera Raid boss, Meowscarada the Unrivaled. Insights shared on social media by trainers have highlighted the effectiveness of certain Fire-type Pokémon, which can swiftly defeat Meowscarada in both solo and team scenarios.

As the final evolution of Sprigatito and Floragato, Meowscarada stands as the Magician Pokémon. This dual-type Grass and Dark Pokémon boasts impressive speed and physical attack statistics, solidifying its position as one of the most potent physical sweepers in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Emerging as a Seven-Star Tera Raid Boss during Pokémon Day, Meowscarada utilizes a diverse move set, including Flower Trick, Play Rough, Acrobatics, Night Slash, Hone Claws, Grassy Terrain, and Petal Blizzard.

Given the inherent weakness of Grass-type Pokémon to Fire-type attacks, insights from trainers No-Pool-7850 and Lumfdoesgaming on the r/PokemonScarletViolet subreddit have proven invaluable in developing effective tactics to subdue Meowscarada. No-Pool-7850 recommended a team strategy centered around Charizard, managing to defeat Meowscarada with a single blow. Charizard’s victory was supported by a carefully coordinated team consisting of Florges, Koraidon, and Corviknight.

During the initial turn, Koraidon utilized its Helping Hand ability to boost Charizard’s output. Florges played a crucial role by activating Charizard’s Weakness Policy with Chilling Water and passing its Choice Specs through the Symbiosis ability. Meanwhile, Corviknight applied Fake Tears to lower Meowscarada’s special defense. Additionally, Koraidon’s Orichalcum Pulse ability summoned harsh sunlight, further amplifying Charizard’s Fire-type moves. Following a well-orchestrated setup, Charizard unleashed a devastating Blast Burn, clinching victory over Meowscarada in one decisive strike.

On the other hand, Lumfdoesgaming adopted a solo approach to tackle Meowscarada, aided by NPC partners. Their strategy prominently featured Skeledirge, the dual-type Fire and Ghost starter from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Skeledirge’s move set included Protect, Torch Song, Flamethrower, and Shadow Ball; however, the first three moves were sufficient for Lumfdoesgaming’s plan. After leveraging Torch Song three times to bolster Skeledirge’s special attack, Protect was employed to guard against Meowscarada’s signature ability, which wipes stats and abilities for a turn. Following Terastallization and maxing out its Special Attack, Skeledirge deployed Flamethrower to secure victory.

Trainers can engage in battles against Meowscarada the Unrivaled until March 6, after which they will need to adapt their strategies to face Skeledirge the Unrivaled. As the competition intensifies, players should remain vigilant and continuously update their Tera Raid tactics against the Unrivaled Paldean starters.
