Exciting New Update for Microsoft Edge Insiders in the Dev Channel

The latest version, 134.0.3124.5, has been rolled out to Dev Channel users of Microsoft Edge. This week’s update brings a suite of enhancements focusing on appearance settings, as well as improvements to the print preview interface in WebUI2. Additionally, numerous fixes have been implemented to resolve various crashes that users may have experienced.

Added Features:

  • A new Color and Image Tab has been introduced on the Settings Theme Page.
  • Print Preview Settings for WebUI2 have been implemented, enhancing the printing functionalities.

Improved Behavior:

  • Fixed a crash issue when transitioning from the default profile to the guest profile in the search bar.
  • Resolved a crash occurring while switching between dark and light themes in the Android picture-in-picture mode.

Adjusted Behavior:

  • Addressed an issue causing the Sites list to be hidden following modifications like adding or removing sites, including issues with the “Use all open tabs”button.
  • Corrected the overly dark background color of the tab search box in dark mode within the tab center.
  • Fixed misalignment problems triggered by toggling the title bar in the tab center.
  • Enhanced navigation within the settings web UI, allowing radio buttons to be controlled with the arrow keys rather than the tab key.
  • Resolved overlapping ‘Thank You’ popup messages related to the like and dislike buttons in Browser Essentials.
  • Fixed a missing links issue in the Family Safety tooltip within the web UI.
  • Corrected the appearance of the ‘Send invite email’ button in high contrast mode within workspaces when focused.
  • Adjusted ‘Table of contents’ static text so it responds adequately to hover actions in the browser PDF reader.
  • Corrected focus loss issues experienced after clicking the close button in the tab center search box.

Platform-Specific Fixes:

  • Mac: Fixed the missing ‘Manage Certificates’ tab under the ‘Security’ module.
  • Android: Rectified an issue where wallpaper was not displaying properly after a browser update.

How to Update Microsoft Edge

To access the latest version of Microsoft Edge, simply navigate to edge://settings/help. The Edge Dev version is available for multiple operating systems, including Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android. If you haven’t yet downloaded it, you can do so via the official Microsoft Edge Insider website. Notably, this version 134 is expected to roll out in the Stable Channel during the week of March 6, 2025.
