Microsoft has introduced a new version of the Edge browser in the Dev Channel for testing. The latest release, version 130.0.2849.1, includes numerous enhancements and minor adjustments. While there are no groundbreaking changes, a reliable array of bug fixes is always appreciated.

New Features:
- Implemented button functionality in the permission prompt on the web UI2.
Behavior Improvements:
- Fixed a crash issue when accessing the Settings page on Xbox.
- Resolved a crash that occurred on iOS when signing in with both MSA and AAD, and subsequently signing out of an account.
- Addressed a crash issue when using Tab Center with pre-existing groups.
- Corrected a problem causing browser crashes after prolonged usage.
Changes in Behavior:
- Corrected an error with the shortcut for the ‘Manage Favorites’ menu item on the favorites bar.
- Fixed an issue where the Name property was undefined for all checkboxes and the edit field on the Workspace internals page.
- Resolved the problem where clicking on Visual Search did not open the Visual Search page after removing the search app from the sidebar.
iOS Updates:
- Fixed an issue where the frame and background color became invisible in Inspirational mode when dark mode was enabled on iOS.
- Addressed a problem where the share button for downloaded files opened a pop-up window in the incorrect location on iOS.
- Resolved an issue that prevented the Rewards page from loading an image on iOS.
Android Enhancements:
- Corrected a problem where an exception occurred when editing top sites in landscape mode on Android.
- Resolved an overlap issue with the title for most visited sites on Android.
- Addressed a navigation problem where keyboard focus did not reach controls on the Extensions page on Android.
- Fixed an issue where the top tab title bar color and the InPrivate tab group background color appeared abnormal on Android.
Microsoft Edge Dev version 130 is now available on Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android. You can download it from the official Edge Insider website. This version is anticipated to reach the Stable Channel during the week of October 17, 2024.
