New Launch Date Announced for Echoes of Elysium
Today, Loric Games revealed an updated early access launch date for their highly anticipated airship-themed cooperative survival RPG, Echoes of Elysium. Initially scheduled for December 4, 2025, the release has now been delayed to January 27, 2026. Details regarding the pricing are yet to be disclosed.
Building the Game with Community Input
In a statement, Brian Johnson, the CEO and Co-Founder of Loric Games, emphasized the importance of community involvement in the development process. He remarked:
We’re taking Echoes of Elysium to Early Access because we want to build this game with our community. Too often, games are built in a vacuum—developers spend years creating something in isolation, only to find the world doesn’t connect with it. We’re a small team, and rather than disappear for years and release something fully formed without player input, we want to build openly alongside our players. Early Access lets us shape Echoes of Elysium together – a survival RPG where the airship truly is your home, and where you survive and thrive in the skies. We know players joining early may encounter bugs as we continue to improve the game, and we want to reward that trust. This is about creating something together.
Community-Driven Features and Enhancements
A recent blog post on the game’s Steam page detailed how Loric Games plans to evolve systems and features based on community feedback. The development team is dedicated to improving game mechanics, as showcased by recent updates to animations and combat systems. Significant enhancements include:
- Smoother animations for both player characters and enemies.
- Integrated physics that provide realistic movement for outfits and constructs, enabling natural trailing of garments like skirts and capes.
- New wrench attack animations made possible by an animation import tool.
This commitment to refining game dynamics promises a more engaging experience for players, allowing for fluid interactions in the airship environments of Echoes of Elysium.
