EA Games Launch on Amazon Luna Cloud Platform After Multi-Year Agreement

Amazon and Electronic Arts Join Forces to Enhance Cloud Gaming

Amazon has officially unveiled a strategic partnership with Electronic Arts, aiming to integrate some of EA’s popular gaming titles into its cloud gaming platform, Luna. This “multi-year agreement”will expand the range of games available to Luna users, positioning the service as a more compelling option in the competitive gaming landscape.

In a notable distinction from similar services like Ubisoft+, the newly added EA games on Amazon Luna will not require a separate subscription. Users will have access to this content without the need for an additional EA Play membership, which is available on both PC and consoles.

As part of today’s announcement, several titles are making their way to Amazon Luna+.Notable additions include Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and the Dead Space remake. Furthermore, players can anticipate forthcoming titles from the popular EA Sports franchise, which promises to broaden the gaming experience.

In addition to the exciting content growth, the partnership coincides with an expansion of Amazon Luna’s geographic availability. The platform will now serve players in Sweden, Portugal, Belgium, and Luxembourg, bringing the total number of supported countries to 14. This expansion allows new users to access over 300 titles already on the platform, enhancing gaming accessibility across Europe.

Furthermore, the Luna Controller, designed to connect directly to cloud servers for reduced latency, will also be available in these newly added regions. This enhanced hardware, which will initially be sold at a promotional price of €44.99 (down from the standard €69.99), is expected to improve the gaming experience for users in Sweden, Belgium, and Luxembourg, with a launch in Portugal planned for later in the year.

As the cloud gaming market evolves, this collaboration between Amazon and Electronic Arts is likely to set a new standard for accessibility and game offerings within the sector.
