EA and Full Circle Unveil Early Access Plans for Skate: Launching September 16, 2025

In an exciting announcement, Electronic Arts (EA) and Full Circle revealed that their highly anticipated title, Skate, will enter early access on September 16, 2025. This release will be available across multiple platforms, including PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Following this news, the developers shared a detailed development update outlining what players can expect during the early access phase.

Seasonal Updates: A Roadmap to Explore

While a specific date for the full 1.0 launch remains unconfirmed, the roadmap introduced by Full Circle indicates an exciting structure for major updates. These updates will be organized by seasons, with the first season slated for release in October 2025. This initial season will feature the much-anticipated Skate Pass, along with two seasonal events, including a special Halloween-themed occasion, and a variety of necessary bug fixes.

Moving into 2026, Season 3 will further expand the game with new modes, leaderboards, additional customization options for skaters, player-created parks, and even more tricks to master.

Getting Ready for Early Access

As the September launch approaches, players will have the opportunity to re-acquaint themselves with Skate, particularly those who didn’t participate in the closed playtesting. The iconic flick-it-style gameplay has been revitalized using EA’s Frostbite engine. Moreover, a comprehensive Skatepedia will be available at launch, providing players with resources to master each trick included in the game.
