It is advisable to complete every side quest you encounter to maximize your collection of manual pages.
Many side quests significantly contribute to character development and world-building. Noteworthy quests like Don’t Look Back In Anger and Stay Human provide meaningful interactions that enhance your overall gaming experience. Even if initial quests yield Basic Manual Pages, remember that these can be upgraded to Intermediate and later to Expert tiers as you progress.
2. Completing Dark Zones
In addition to side quests, looting Apartment Dark Zones serves as another opportunity to gather manual pages. These zones are marked on the map with a “Possible Loot”section, where you can spot an icon indicating potential manual page drops.
Each dark zone features unique loot; therefore, always check the “Possible Loot”section before entering to confirm if the rewards you seek are available. As your character levels up, you may occasionally find Intermediate and Expert manual pages; however, many players commonly retrieve Basic Manual Pages from these locations. Remember, similar to military convoys, dark zones refresh with new loot periodically, making them worth revisiting.
3. Tips for Clearing Dark Zones
Playing on hard difficulty can make clearing dark zones particularly daunting due to the number of Biters you may encounter. A useful strategy is to prioritize taking out the Screamer (the zombie in the straitjacket) first. Once the Screamer is eliminated, you significantly lessen the chance of attracting the attention of nearby Biters.
