Having finally subdued the Beast during the “Bait and the Beast”quest, you are now approaching the climax of your adventure with the main quest titled “The Last Supper” in Dying Light: The Beast. This quest serves as the grand finale of the game, representing both the culmination of your journey and the longest quest you will encounter, featuring a formidable boss waiting at the end. Be prepared, as this mission presents significant challenges along the way.
Before embarking on this final mission, ensure that you are well-equipped. I recommend taking along a Revolver, Shotgun, Marksman Rifle, and even a Sawblade Launcher to maximize your chances of survival.
As this mission contains major spoilers, including the Beast’s true identity, proceed with caution, or at least consider watching the opening cutscene before delving deeper.
Gaining Access to the Castle
With Aiden captured after his attempt to confront the Baron solo, it’s your responsibility to infiltrate the fortress and rescue both Aiden and Spike. The quest begins near a lake; swim north towards the island and then continue forward and slightly to the right until you find the tunnel entrance.
The section within the tunnels is straightforward; however, to assist you further, I have outlined a step-by-step guide below:
- Detonate the first wall using C4, then run along the path until you reach the platform.
- Wallrun up and climb the ledges until you reach the top.
- Once outside, stick to the marked ledges and climb back inside the tunnels.
- Dash through the cobwebs and break the barricade on your left; you will find another wall for C4 placement further down.
- Ascend the stairs until you encounter a locked door next to a ladder.
- Climb the ladder, then venture up more stairs to find another breakable barricade.
- Upon entering the area, look behind and above to spot some ledges to grab.
- Jump into the small opening, traverse around to the wall where you can detonate your third C4.
- After blowing up the wall, follow the path until you find a door that can be lock-picked, leading you out of the tunnels.
Dispatching the Snipers and Confronting the Baron’s Men
While I can’t specify the order of guards to eliminate, I can certainly provide guidance for surviving the onslaught here.
For cooperative play, charge in with guns blazing; my advice stems from experience where melee weapons simply don’t cut it against the numerous snipers and sharpshooters. Focus on using the Revolver for mid-range engagements and the Shotgun for close combat – a headshot with the Revolver will take down Baron’s men in one shot.
If you’re tackling this segment solo, it may become quite the hurdle. Use stealth to eliminate as many enemies as possible before being detected.
Following detection, equip your Revolver and Shotgun, and I also recommend a Marksman Rifle for a safer distance engagement. Collect ammunition from crates and fallen foes to stay stocked.
After neutralizing the Snipers, be swift in opening the gates to allow your allies to join you against Baron’s forces.
Pursuing the Baron

Upon entering the castle, rapidly eliminate the remaining Baron’s men in the room before using the elevator to chase after him.Utilizing firearms is crucial in this space.
You’ll eventually reach a train tunnel; here, switch to your Marksman Rifle to take out the sniper positioned on the bridge, or shoot the gas canister beside him. Then, hop into the nearby car and drive through the tunnel without engaging the enemies.
Ultimately, you will arrive at the lab you escaped from at the game’s onset, where you will find an ample supply of ammo. Although it isn’t precisely a boss fight, expect a tough confrontation ahead.
Confrontation with the Chimera

The familiar Behemoth returns for a third appearance, and by now, you should recognize its battle style. Stick close to its rear and stay alert for its telegraphed attacks. Opt for melee weapons during boss encounters, as they yield better results.
Be mindful that defeating the Chimera does not conclude the fight; you will face four Behemoths in total. Reserve your full beast mode gauge for the right moment!
After vanquishing the first of the Behemoths, continue your assault on the second while filling your Beast gauge.Activate Beast mode as soon as the third Behemoth enters the fray to maximize damage against the second.
As in the “Cries Trapped In Walls”quest, Lydia will take control of the Chimera if it’s weakened, ensuring you have a tactical advantage by the time the fourth Behemoth joins the battle.
Remember that the Behemoth under Lydia’s control can still inflict damage, so maintain your distance.
Focus your attacks on the Behemoth with the least health to eventually secure your victory.
Navigating the Complex
Once the Behemoths are under your control, bypass the Baron’s men and proceed through the complex. This area can feel like a maze, making it easy to lose your way. However, I’ve provided a simplified route below, while also encouraging exploration.
- After bypassing the Baron’s men, proceed straight ahead and press the button to open the door.
- This will lead you into a room filled with enemies; dispatch them swiftly and continue to the hallway in front of you.
- Take the first right and move through the open door, then unlock the door at the hallway’s end.
- In this new room, you’ll encounter more foes; a Shotgun will help you clear them quickly.
- After securing the area, return to your entry point and move ahead until you reach a doorway with a broken window.
- Turn left and operate the button beside the door to open it.
- Clear the enemies once more and open the following door, leading you to Cell Block 1C.
- After defeating the Baron’s men here, you will locate Aiden in a cell to your right at the end of the area.
The Final Showdown with the Baron

With the protagonists reunited, it’s time to prepare for your ultimate encounter with the Baron.
The Human Baron
As the battle commences, your priority should be eliminating all armed adversaries in the arena, excluding the Baron himself. Expect occasional attacks from Runners during the fight; utilizing a Shotgun will quickly neutralize them.
The Baron will attack with a Grenade Launcher, which should be relatively easy to avoid since you’ll have ample time to dodge the grenades. However, beware that he throws a grenade just after you land a few hits, so stay vigilant. Overall, this phase shouldn’t pose a significant challenge.
When the Baron’s health drops to about 35%, Aiden will exit to assist Lydia, leaving you to face the Baron alone (along with intermittent Runners).
The Beast Baron: First Phase

The Baron’s second health bar is divided into two distinct phases, intensifying this boss encounter.
During both phases, you must be aware that the Baron typically concludes his combos with a ground pound. This means you can’t capitalize on openings immediately after his attacks; it’s crucial to maintain distance or jump over his ground pounds for a chance to strike.
Focus on the Baron’s relentless combos, which often end with a lunging attack followed by a ground pound. Look for opportunities between his assaults to retaliate. The Sawblade Launcher is also effective from a distance, particularly when targeting the Baron’s head.
The Beast Baron: Second Phase

In this final phase, the Baron will alter his combos and introduce new moves, including a devastating ultra ground pound, which cannot simply be dodged. Be attentive, as this attack inflicts the highest damage.
Fortunately, this move is telegraphed; the Baron will leap into the air before executing it. To evade, jump just as he lands.
Another new maneuver is the backward evade, which signals an imminent lunge towards you, so brace yourself to dodge sideways at that moment.
Ultimately, this boss battle is a test of stamina management and quick evasion skills.Stay alert, avoid getting greedy with your strikes, and do not let your stamina drop below 40% during attacks. Prioritize dodging to prevail against this formidable Beast.
Completing the game rewards you with +20, 000 XP, 1500 Old World Money, the Real Beast charm, and a co-op Lootbox if you conclude the quest with friends.
