Dutch Mantell finally reveals what WWE told him when he asked the reason for Cesaro split (Exclusive)

In AEW, Cesaro is now recognized as Claudio Castagnoli and gained popularity in WWE through his partnership with Zeb Colter, also known as Dutch Mantell. The renowned manager recently shared his thoughts on the separation and the reason behind the decision made by the company.

Teamed up with Jack Swagger (Jake Hager), Cesaro became one half of the unforgettable tag team known as The Real Americans, managed by Dutch Mantell. Despite a successful year together, WWE opted to dissolve the partnership, leading to the 43-year-old’s victory in the first ever André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 30.

Upon confronting the company for answers, Mantell was simply informed that there were “plans”in place for the Swiss superstar.

After a brief stint with Paul Heyman, Cesaro failed to solidify his position in the main event scene, as history has shown. WWE’s decision to end the Real Americans prematurely was questioned by Dutch Mantell.

“Oh yeah, I asked them, I said, ‘What is the reasoning behind pulling him [Cesaro] away from me and Jack?’ They went, ‘Well, we’ve got plans for him.’ The plans lasted, like, a week. I said, ‘Damn, he could have done the same play with us.’”[From 25:00 onwards]
