You’ve successfully arrived at the Mithra crash site, where several surviving crew members urgently need your assistance. Now, it’s time to dive into action.
In the Dune: Awakening‘s “Lost Harvest”DLC, your mission involves gathering critical medical supplies, piecing together parts for a makeshift radio, and retrieving guild tags from the fallen Spice Workers. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
This guide outlines Chief Hanso’s Search and Retrieval contract, which is a somber yet essential mission focused on locating the deceased spice workers’ bodies and bringing home their guild tags.
My Mentat character, Boris, may appear as a gruff, unwelcoming desert explorer, but he harbors a hidden compassion for the sandworkers, making Chief Hanso’s request a top priority.
Locating the Spice Miner’s Guild Tags
During the search and retrieval quest, you’ll be tasked with recovering a total of four guild tags along with one discarded comms device. Each guild tag lies within a few hundred meters of the crash site, with the comms device located right next to the last guild tag you’ll collect.
Keep in mind that the Kirab, responsible for the demise of these spice workers, pose a lingering threat nearby, so ensure they are dealt with before proceeding.
To facilitate your search, access your contracts tab to track Chief Hanso’s Search and Retrieval mission. Use the markers on your compass to guide you to the locations of the guild tags.
The guild tags serve as identification that members of The Spice Miner’s Guild carry. After eliminating the Kirab, look for the bodies of the guild members to retrieve their tags.
Guild Tag #1

The first guild tag is found in a camp located just south of the crash site, approximately 100 meters away, guarded by a group of unwary Kirab. Boris was prepared for a fight.
Once the enemies are eliminated, thoroughly search every nook of the cave, using your compass marker to close in on the guild tag.
This tag can be found at the back of the cave, tucked away in a corner, as illustrated in the image above.
Guild Tag #2

The second guild tag is located near the first tag, but on the exterior wall of the rock formation, southeast of the crash site.
The body at this site is positioned on the cliff’s edge—just close enough to the sand that a passing sandworm could snatch it away for a quick meal.
With this one retrieved, we have two down and two to go!
Guild Tag #3

The third guild tag was collected further north of the crash site, where the body was found leaning against some debris.
This particular corpse can be tricky to spot; I initially mistook it for a Kirab body. However, upon closer examination, I recognized it as one of the fallen crew members of the Mithra.
Rely on the contract marker displayed on your compass for guidance, and as you approach the body, the option to ‘interact’ becomes available.
Boris paused to honor the memory of the deceased sandworker.
Guild Tag #4 & The Discarded Comms Device
The fourth guild tag was found near the previous one, north of the crash site. This body, positioned slightly below the main platform near a cliff, could easily be missed if you’re not observant.
You will also find the discarded comms device in proximity to the last guild tag. After securing both items, your only remaining task is to return the tags to Chief Hanso.Boris was indeed the bearer of unfortunate news.
A Call from the Safety Warden

After you’ve collected all the guild tags and the discarded comms device, Kief Vallari, the Safety Warden of The Spice Miner’s Guild, will reach out to you. Reluctantly, Vallari will ask for your assistance in recovering a sealed metal case that was previously taken by the Kirab.
This marks the beginning of the ‘Vallari’s Prize’ quest line.
Note that the positions of the fallen crew members may vary slightly from those shown above, as I encountered other bodies within the game world that I was unable to interact with.
