Dune Awakening Guide: Locations of Erythrite Crystals

In Dune: Awakening, one of your primary objectives is to gather a variety of resources essential for upgrading your equipment and base. As you delve deeper into the game, especially toward the mid and late stages, you will discover that certain resources become increasingly scarce. A particularly vital resource in your arsenal is Erythrite Crystals, which are necessary for crafting Cobalt Paste—a key ingredient used in constructing powerful items, including components for Buggy and Cutteray.

To successfully produce Cobalt Paste, you’ll require a Small Chemical Refinery, ample water storage, and, of course, a substantial quantity of Erythrite Crystals. Water can be collected through various methods, but locating Erythrite Crystals may prove to be more challenging.

Where to Locate Erythrite Crystals

The best place to hunt for Erythrite Crystals is deep within the Hagga Rift, situated in the northern part of the game map. The rift delves much deeper than initially apparent, extending several hundred meters underground. If you find yourself disoriented, simply travel westward to reach the Pinnacle Station outpost.

Within the rift, you will encounter various bandit camps and larger CHOAM facilities. The CHOAM Mineral Extraction Facilities stand out as the most dependable locations for sourcing Erythrite Crystals.

Notably, these crystals emit a vivid red glow, making them relatively easy to spot in the darker environments of the rift. However, be cautious—many CHOAM outposts are protected by snipers, so acquiring crystals might come with its fair share of challenges.

Additionally, keep an eye out for smaller deposits of Erythrite Crystals, which can occasionally be looted from chests found in bandit camps or collected from the defeated foes within the rift.

Mining Erythrite Crystals

Don’t let the striking red hue intimidate you. Erythrite Crystals can be harvested using a simple Cutteray Mk2. All you need to do is scan the ore and slice along the glowing blue vein in the usual manner, and your inventory will quickly fill with this valuable material.

The primary hurdle lies in navigating the Hagga Rift, so it is highly advisable to utilize a vehicle like the Sandbike or Buggy for this endeavor.

Considering the time it takes to travel down the rift, ensure your vehicle has an inventory upgrade. This will allow you to store a larger quantity of Erythrite Crystals and craft significantly more components before needing to head back.

Furthermore, equipping upgrades such as the Buggy Cutteray can enhance your efficiency, enabling you to swiftly mine large quantities of Crystals and other mineral deposits while minimizing risk.
