Dune Awakening Guide: Locating the Mithra Crash Site

In the latest DLC expansion for Dune: Awakening titled Lost Harvest, players are thrown into a thrilling mission when a Spice Miner’s Guild harvester, laden with valuable spice, is shot down by Kirab. The remaining crew members urgently require assistance, cueing players to spring into action.

Upon receiving the distress signal, your mission begins with finding the crash site. Ensure your fuel tanks and literjons are topped off—it’s time to rally and save the stranded sandworkers.

My experienced Mentat character, Boris, has faced many perils, including fierce sandworms, intense firefights, and ferocious sandstorms. With age comes wisdom, but he’s needed a capable ally. Thus, I enlisted Liliha to forge the most effective rescue team ever assembled on Arrakis.

The Fall of the Mithra: Locating the Crash Site

Following the harvester’s destruction, players will trigger the questline The Fall of the Mithra. Your primary objective is to locate both the ship and any survivors to advance in the quest. The quickest mode of transport is an ornithopter, though sandbikes or buggies will also get the job done. The crash site lies to the North West of Griffin’s Reach Trade Post.

Starting from my guild’s principal base located near the northern edge of the Hagga Rift, we had quite a distance to cover. It is advisable to carry extra fuel in your inventory to ensure a smooth journey.

Follow the Markers to the Mithra

Before setting forth on your adventure, check the map for a distinctive lime-green symbol indicating the location of the Mithra. You can also track the quest by accessing the Journey Tab to find The Fall of the Mithra within the story quests if it hasn’t appeared on your screen automatically.

Pay close attention to the compass at the top of your display, and navigate towards Mithra’s Marker until reaching your destination. The crash site is concealed within a rocky formation, where you’ll spot red flares firing into the sky from the stranded crew members.

How to Locate the Survivors

Arriving at the somber scene of a harvester split in two stirred feelings even in the usually stoic Boris. The survivors are relatively easy to pinpoint, situated in the heart of the wreckage.

Among the wreckage, you’ll discover Chief Hanso, Lt. Drangh, and Quartermaster Hix. Each has specific missions that require your immediate attention:

Chief Hanso – Search and Retrieval: Tasked with exploring the surrounding area for Mithra crew members kidnapped by bandits, while also collecting any Guild Tags from the fallen.
Quartermaster Hix – A Healing Hand: Assist in locating medical supplies for the injured crew.
Lt. Drangh – Radio Silenced: The harvester’s communication system is out of order. To help reestablish contact, find a Blue Kyanite Crystal, a Twin-Polarity Microfram, and a Torson Soundshifter so Lt. Drangh can construct a short-wave transmitter.
