Dune Awakening: Comprehensive Guide to Radio Silenced

Dune Awakening: Comprehensive Guide to Radio Silenced

In the first DLC of Dune: Awakening, titled The Lost Harvest, I’ve taken on the challenge of aiding the Spice Miner’s Guild after responding to their distress signal. Their operations were severely impacted when they were downed by Kirab forces. In this mission, I safely located the crash site and assisted in recovering guild tags from fallen spice workers.

My Mentat character, Boris, now faces a new task: to collect vital parts for Lt. Drangh, enabling her to restore the communication system’s functionality.

This comprehensive guide focuses on completing the Radio Silenced contract, which involves the crucial task of locating components from the ruined Mithra harvester.

Specifically, you’ll need to find three essential items: a blue-lattice kyanite crystal, a twin-polarity microfram, and a torson soundshifter. These components are scattered within a few hundred meters of the crash site, among the debris left in the wake of the harvester’s destruction.

As the Mithra was violently disintegrated upon impact, parts are strewn across the area, necessitating a thorough search. Fortunately, Boris knows the way, making this scavenger hunt a bit more manageable.

Location of the Blue-Lattice Kyanite Crystal

The first item you’ll seek is the blue-lattice kyanite crystal, found near crashed ornithopters surrounding the Mithra. Each part will be stored in small boxes that you can access as you approach.

Exercise caution; Kirab patrol this region. I discovered the blue-lattice kyanite crystal approximately 100 meters west of the Mithra, nestled between the sandy expanse and a rocky outcrop, guarded by two hostile enemies.

Boris let out a blood-curdling scream concerning the Blue-Lattice, though it may have been somewhat indistinguishable.

With the assistance of my loyal companion, Liliha, we swiftly dispatched the Kirab and retrieved the crystal, allowing us to progress to our next objective: the Torson Soundshifter.

Finding the Torson Soundshifter

From the peak of the Mithra, look northwest towards a prominent mountain peak illuminated by a light, as depicted in the image above. The Torson Soundshifter lies just past this peak.

Similar to where I found the blue-lattice kyanite crystal, the Torson Soundshifter is located in a small box beside another crashed ornithopter.

Luckily, only one Kirab could be found guarding this area.

Locating the Twin-Polarity Microfram

The final component needed for Lt. Drangh’s mission is the Twin-Polarity Microfram, and Boris was quick to pursue it with zeal.

This microfram can be found approximately 150 meters northeast of the Mithra, at yet another crashed ornithopter. A peculiar detail caught my attention: an NPC at this location appeared to have a piece of ornithopter debris protruding from their neck, raising questions about the game’s design!

You can locate the Twin-Polarity Microfram in a small box right next to the downed thopter, consistent with the pattern for the previous parts.

With all three components collected, your final step is to return to Lt. Drangh to see what she can create with these salvaged parts.

Initiating Signal Boosting

Boosting The Signal Quest

Upon receiving the gathered parts, Lt. Drangh successfully constructs a makeshift short-wave transmitter.

Regrettably, its range is severely limited, and the relay beacon set up by the Spice Miner’s Guild seems unresponsive. Consequently, you must investigate to determine the next steps, initiating the Boosting the Signal quest line.

The crew of the Mithra was on the brink of despair until we arrived, demonstrating that you can always rely on Boris.
