Duke Didier sees some cracks in Ben Tynan’s armor: “Hopefully my strengths sort out his weaknesses”

Australian heavyweight MMA fighter Duke Didier has identified some weaknesses in the game of his upcoming opponent Ben Tynan and has stated that he plans to take advantage of them when they face off in the fight.

At ONE Fight Night 21: Eersel vs. Nicolas on April 5 in Bangkok, Thailand, ‘The Duke of Canberra’ and ‘Vanilla Thunder’ will face off in a highly anticipated heavyweight showdown.

This will mark Didier’s second competition with ONE Championship following his previous bout against Uzbekistani fighter Jasur Mirzamukhamedov in June 2022, in which he narrowly lost by split decision.

Ahead of his upcoming return to the ring, the 34-year-old BJJ black belt discussed his thoughts on the promotion and revealed that he has analyzed Tynan’s fighting style, identifying potential weaknesses to capitalize on during their bout in pursuit of a win.

According to Duke Didier, he stated:

“I see a weakness, like any fighter. Hopefully, my strengths sort out his weaknesses.”

He further stated:

“I definitely think I can go in and get the job done, I’ll try and have a beer with him afterward.”

Didier had a successful career as a judoka before becoming a member of ONE Championship. He achieved numerous titles and came close to qualifying for the Olympic Games in 2016. He then made the transition to MMA through BJJ and made a strong impression in the Australian competition scene.

Ben Tynan, 30, made an impressive ONE debut at ONE Fight Night 21 in November against his opponent. He secured a victory by stopping South Korean KO artist Kang Ji Won with a submission (arm-triangle choke), which resulted in him receiving a $50,000 performance bonus from ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong.

ONE Fight Night 21 is scheduled to be held at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium and will be broadcasted live during U.S. primetime on April 5. Viewers in the United States and Canada can watch the event for free by having an active Preime Video subscription.

Duke Didier Confident and Ready for ONE Fight Night 21

Determined to secure a rebound win at ONE Fight Night 21 on April 5, heavyweight fighter Duke Didier stated that he and his team are diligently getting ready for his upcoming bout against Canadian opponent Ben Tynan.

The Australian mixed martial artist is set to face off against “Vanilla Thunder,”as he looks to make a comeback from his loss by split decision in his ONE Championship debut back in June 2022.

In preparation for his return to the game, ‘The Duke of Canberra’ stated that they have been diligently preparing to deliver a victorious performance against Tynan.

During an interview, Duke Didier revealed his involvement in the promotion.

“I’m going to leave no stone unturned in my preparations, and therefore I’m going to be able to do everything I possibly can to beat and finish Ben Tynan within three rounds at Lumpinee Stadium.”

ONE Fight Night 21 features the main event of the ONE lightweight kickboxing world championship, with Suriname’s reigning champion Regian Eersel defending his title against French challenger Alexis Nicolas.
