Takara Tomy Unveils Collectible PS5 DualSense Controller Keychains
In an exciting announcement, Takara Tomy revealed its plans to launch a series of PlayStation controller keychains featuring the PS5 DualSense model, specifically designed for gacha machines in Japan. These vibrant collectibles are set to hit capsule machines in late July 2025, with a price point of 300円 (approximately $2) per attempt to obtain one.
A Diverse Selection of Colors
This unique collection boasts six various designs, each representing the PS5 DualSense controller in distinct colors: Cosmic Red, Galactic Purple, Midnight Black, Nova Pink, Starlight Blue, and White. Notably, these shades align with the real-life options available on Sony’s official website, enhancing their appeal to collectors and gamers alike. Each keychain features translucent plastic over the buttons, which adds to the authentic look and feel. With a size of around 4cm (40mm) and equipped with a convenient ball-chain keyring, these keychains are perfect for attaching to bags or keyrings.

Competing with Bandai Namco’s Offerings
This isn’t the only PlayStation controller keychain set available in Japan’s gacha machines. In fact, Bandai Namco recently released its own collection, which debuted in May 2025. This prior series included designs inspired by the PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, and PS5 controllers, and even featured startup sounds from each console when activated.
Availability Outside Japan
The Takara Tomy PS5 DualSense controller keychains are slated for release in late July 2025. However, it’s important to note that, unlike Bandai Namco’s products, these particular keychains are unlikely to be available in gashapon machines or retail locations in the United States and Canada.
