Dragon’s Dogma 2 includes a variety of quests, but not all can be easily completed by traveling from one location to another. Certain quests have specific requirements that must be fulfilled in order to successfully finish them.
These are two quests that must be completed for Captain Brent in Vernworth. In order to initiate The Stolen Throne and the Feast of Deception quests, you must first acquire appropriate clothing to gain entry to locations reserved for the city’s nobles.
Obtaining Courtly Clothes in Dragon’s Dogma 2
The appropriate attire listed above includes three individual pieces – the Eventide Mask, the Courtly Tunic, and the Courtly Breeches – which are available for purchase either separately or as a complete set.
The most efficient, though not the most convenient, method of obtaining them is to buy them from the item merchant in the Merchant Quarter of Vernworth. However, they are quite expensive and you may not have enough funds at the time in the game when you require them.
Fortunately, acquiring the Courtly Clothes can be done through alternative methods. If you had chosen to loan Sven some money after he approached you in the Merchant Quarter during your initial trip to Vernworth, all you have to do is finish the Mystery Box quest. Simply speak to Sven on multiple occasions, and he will eventually reimburse your loan and present you with the Courtly Clothes. You can locate him sitting on the fountain, across from the Pawn Guild in Vernworth’s Merchant Quarter.
Regardless of whether or not you lent Sven any money, obtaining the Courtly Clothes should not be difficult. Simply open the treasure chest located in Sven’s chambers on the second floor of Vernworth Castle. If you already possess the clothes, you can still sell them to a merchant for a decent profit. In Dragon’s Dogma 2, gold is always in short supply and every extra piece can aid in your adventure, making it worthwhile to obtain with minimal effort.
