World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Classic has now reached its fourth and ultimate phase preceding the forthcoming expansion. The latest update, Patch 4.4.2, introduces an array of exciting features, such as enhanced dungeons, upgraded gear, and a captivating new quest line. This content is specifically tailored for players at level 85 and above, guiding them through an intricate narrative where they encounter Deathwing and other formidable allies.
Unlike previous expansions where attunements played a significant role, this quest line allows players the freedom to enter the raids without having to complete it. However, a rich storyline awaits those who choose to embark on this journey alongside some of Azeroth’s most legendary heroes while exploring three newly crafted dungeons.
To participate in this quest line, characters must be at least max level 85 with a minimum gear score of 359, as the gear found in these dungeons has a higher rating of 378.
The End Time
Optional Start That Also Includes A Free Port

Players can initiate a quest line that instantly transports them to Nozdormu at the entrance of the End Time dungeon. Those who prefer a quicker route can simply commence “The End Time”quest line.
- Horde: Consult Ziradormi in Grommash Hold located at the heart of Orgrimmar.
- Alliance: Find Coridormi in the Mage Tower situated in the southwestern sector of Stormwind City.
To complete this initial quest, players need to converse with Nozdormu, who is positioned right before the dungeon’s entrance. After speaking with him, players can advance to the next quest, Murozond.
It’s important to mention that the quest to defeat Murozond is accessible even if players did not embark on the preliminary quest from their capital. Players can enter the dungeon via the Caverns of Time and engage with Murozond directly without any prerequisites—however, subsequent quests will necessitate completion of prior objectives.
Murozond
Confront the Final Boss of The End Time

The adventurers will need to battle their way through two well-known heroes randomly selected from the iconic leaders of both the Horde and Alliance cultures before ultimately facing the corrupted dragon, Murozond. This challenging encounter incorporates a unique mechanic, allowing players a limited number of opportunities—five charges—to reverse time by a few critical seconds, hence careful management of this resource is crucial.
Upon vanquishing Murozond, players can speak with Nozdormu again to complete the quest and receive guidance to the next dungeon, The Well of Eternity.
The Well Of Eternity
Experience the Might of the Highborne

To engage in this quest, players need only to speak with Nozdormu, who awaits them at the dungeon’s entrance. From here, players are led into an ancient Highborne courtyard to assist Illidan in a perilous venture.
Notably, unlike the previous dungeons, The Well of Eternity does not feature a dedicated entrance; players must utilize the port provided by Nozdormu or join through the dungeon finder to gain access.
In Unending Numbers
Witness the Assault on Azeroth

Illidan Stormrage makes his return as an ally in the battle against the Burning Legion and Queen Azshara. Players will face legions of foes encompassing demons, satyrs, and Highborne minions who surrendered their souls for the Legion’s power. The mission involves following Illidan through a treacherous courtyard teeming with adversaries as they seek to free the Dragon Soul.
To continue, players must disable three portals that manifest as clusters of large, floating green crystals and ultimately defeat Peroth’arn before concluding the quest by speaking with Illidan.
The Vainglorious
Confront the Queen

Once again, Nozdormu is present, this time by the Well of Eternity, as players prepare to confront Azshara herself. Although the purpose isn’t to defeat her outright, players must weaken her, ultimately forcing her back to the Twisting Nether, albeit temporarily.
Upon her retreat, players will turn to Nozdormu to submit their quest. He then assigns another task, leading players to face a familiar foe that they might have encountered in a previous expansion.
The Path To The Dragon Soul
Rescued from the Grasp of Mannoroth

The final quest in this sequence from Nozdormu is titled The Path to the Dragon Soul. Similar to the previous missions, players are tasked with eliminating the last boss in the dungeon to liberate the Dragon Soul, enabling Nozdormu to claim it.
Mannoroth, noted for his presence in a one-room raid located in Hellfire Peninsula, represents one of the Legion’s mightiest minions, incorporating intricate mechanics necessary for overcoming him. Instead of outright elimination, he must be weakened and sent back to the nether, in a similar vein to Azshara.
Players will conclude this quest with Illidan, marking the transition to the next stage led by Chromie from the Bronze Dragonflight as she offers the subsequent quest leading into the third dungeon.
The Hour Of Twilight
The Inevitable Appearance of Chromie

At this juncture, Chromie becomes pivotal, transporting players to the Hour of Twilight, where Thrall awaits at the end of a lengthy, frozen pathway leading to Wyrmrest Temple. Interacting with him finalizes this quest, after which he will present players with the concluding step.
It is vital to note that this quest doesn’t commence immediately upon accepting it. Players must ensure to prompt Thrall before proceeding with the next quest.
To Wyrmrest!
Escort Thrall to the Final Confrontation

Thrall’s quest is unveiled after conversing with him under Chromie’s guidance. Players are responsible for escorting Thrall through a perilous icy gauntlet heading south from the Old Gods’ invasion point, engaging in combat with three formidable bosses to help ensure the survival of this crucial Shaman, who plays a key role in fulfilling his destiny.
Completing this quest marks the conclusion of the quest chain, unlocking all three dungeons for players. It’s advisable to revisit them to acquire improved gear and accumulate experience before embarking on the new raid, which interweaves its own narrative and features renowned heroes from the lore.
