Dragon Ball DAIMA has taken audiences on an intriguing journey through the Demon Realm, culminating in a reunion among the heroes. While previous episodes hinted at dark challenges ahead, the introduction of a mysterious new ally could be crucial for the group’s success. As the Saiyans strategize against Tamagami Number Two, Dr. Arinsu finds herself reuniting with Marba, determining how to alter the course of their fate following Majin Kuu’s setback.
The initial strategy to use Majin Buu’s essence for creating Majin Kuu appeared promising. However, Tamagami Number One’s overwhelming power left Kuu and Dr. Arinsu retreating in defeat. Despite setbacks, including confrontations with thieving factions and a titan kraken, the fighters regroup on the Namekian home planet within the Second Demon World. Although Supreme Kai contributed valuable insights into the lore of the Demon Realm, the heroes still have a considerable journey ahead before they can make a wish to restore Dende and regain their adult forms.
The Birth of Majin Duu and Neva’s Alliance
At the outset of Dragon Ball DAIMA, Supreme Demon King Gomah sought the expertise of the ancient Namekian named Neva to harness the power of Earth’s Dragon Balls. Now seemingly the last Namek in the Demon Realm, Neva reappears just as the group prepares to depart from the remnants of their home world. While initially only Dende and Mr. Popo witnessed Neva’s arrival at The Lookout, Piccolo quickly recognizes this enigmatic figure. Neva expresses surprise upon encountering a “Warrior Namek,”reminiscent of Katatz—Piccolo’s father.
To delve deeper into the lineage, it’s important to note that Katatz’s son split into King Piccolo and Kami, thereby making him the paternal ancestor of Piccolo Jr.
Though Neva’s initial presentation suggested villainy, his role during Episode 11, “Legend,”establishes him as a neutral player. He not only created the Demon Realm Dragon Balls but also engineered the formidable Tamagami, who serves as their protector. Panzy queries why Neva hasn’t seized power from Supreme Demon King Gomah, to which Neva wisely responds, “Nameks must not use their power for conflict.”This statement elicited humorous glances from the group towards Piccolo, as Glorio pointed out their need to leave quickly to escape the Gendarmerie’s search parties.
Initially hesitant to join the crew due to limited space, Neva underscores the necessity of using Namekian for the Dragon Ball’s wishes, making his inclusion indispensable. Consequently, he boards the ship as they head toward their next confrontation with Tamagami.
In light of Majin Kuu’s previous inadequacies against Tamagami Number One, Dr. Arinsu pushes for a final gamble. By utilizing all remaining essence of Majin Buu, she anticipates that the next creature will be formidable. This leads to the birth of Majin Duu, who, like Buu, manifests a peculiar inclination for chocolate.
Back in the Second Demon World, Vegeta insists on taking lead against Tamagami Number Two. The initially dismissive protector soon acknowledges the gravity of the situation upon noticing Neva’s support. The showdown intensifies, but the episode concludes dramatically with Vegeta being engulfed by the monstrous kraken. Excitement builds as viewers await Episode 12, titled “True Strength,”which promises to escalate the battles between Majin Duu and Tamagami Number One, along with Vegeta’s challenge against Tamagami Number Two.
