In the latest arc of Dragon Ball Daima, we witness the remarkable transformation of Gomah, once perceived merely as a diminutive Demon King, into Third Eye Gomah. This evolution is powered by the Evil Third Eye, a mystical artifact that drastically elevates his strength. How does his newfound power compare to past adversaries faced by Goku and his allies?
The Z Fighters have previously confronted a host of menacing foes, including galactic tyrants, deadly androids, a perfected bio-engineered warrior, and chaotic Majins. The critical question remains: Is Supreme King Gomah truly a worthy opponent, or is his strength merely illusory, much like Mr. Satan’s boasts?
Is Third Eye Gomah The Strongest Villain Thus Far?
Chronologically, Yes
It’s essential to remember that Dragon Ball Daima is set chronologically before Dragon Ball Super. At that point, the most formidable adversary the Z Fighters encountered was Majin Buu. The debate over whether Super Buu or Kid Buu is superior can be postponed, as Third Eye Gomah’s capabilities unquestionably eclipsed any version of Buu from the Dragon Ball Z timeline.
Following the Z saga, Goku and Vegeta dedicated themselves to intense training, refining their powers. Vegeta has reached Super Saiyan 3, and Goku has potentially unlocked a new form as well. Their elevated strengths should enable them to surpass Majin Buu since they were already closely matched during the Buu Saga. Yet, in the thrilling finale of Daima, Third Eye Gomah demonstrated overwhelming superiority over both Goku and Vegeta, playfully challenging them. The Evil Third Eye seems to provide Gomah with continuous enhancements, promising an even greater threat as battles progress.
Third Eye Gomah’s Immortality
Gomah’s prowess extends beyond brute strength; the Evil Third Eye endows him with a significant degree of immortality. In Episode 20, titled “Maximum, ”we see Super Saiyan 4 Goku unleash a devastating Kamehameha, creating a massive breach in Third Eye Gomah’s form. However, rather than succumbing to defeat, the Evil Third Eye astonishingly heals Gomah, sealing the wound. Although his healing may not rival Majin Buu’s rapid regeneration, it suggests a formidable resilience, allowing Gomah to endure extensive damage.
While it could be argued that Super Saiyan 4 Goku is more powerful than Gomah, evidenced by their titanic clash, Goku would likely exhaust himself before Gomah, who could only grow stronger throughout the encounter. In the absence of strategic intervention by his allies, Goku would ultimately find himself defeated by Third Eye Gomah.
Unless opponents exploit Gomah’s unique vulnerability, he stands as an overwhelmingly powerful entity, potentially outmatching even characters from Dragon Ball Super. Only the Gods of Destruction, utilizing their Hakai powers, and those of higher divine caliber, like the Angels and Zeno, seem equipped to neutralize him.
Third Eye Gomah’s Weakness
An Eye for an Eye, as They Say
Despite the monumental capabilities granted by the Evil Third Eye, Gomah possesses a notable weakness that can be exploited if opponents are aware of it. This weakness is straightforward: striking the back of his head three times will dislodge the eye from his forehead. Interestingly, it appears that these hits must occur rapidly, as demonstrated by Majin Kuu, who still required three consecutive strikes, despite having received earlier blows from Piccolo.
Even attacks of modest strength can disable the Evil Third Eye, as evidenced by Majin Kuu’s success simply by hitting Gomah with a book three times.

While the Evil Third Eye is indestructible while grafted to Gomah’s forehead, targeting it directly is likely not advisable. Once dislodged, however, it becomes essentially a vulnerable object, easily destroyed, as demonstrated when Glorio stepped on it.
The primary defense for the Supreme Demon Kings against this vulnerability is sheer ignorance; few know of this critical weakness. Information regarding it is documented in one of Arinsu’s tomes, a text that even she had not fully memorized. Fortunately, her recollection of the tome’s existence proved invaluable in advising Goku. As observed in the series finale’s post-credits scene, two additional Evil Third Eyes appear, leading to speculation about further revelations about their powers in the anticipated Dragon Ball Daima Season 2.
