Dragon Age: The Veilguard immerses players in the captivating world of Thedas, where explorers can uncover various intriguing locations. Among these, the Grey Warden Vault stands out as a treasure trove of loot. However, gaining access to this vault requires solving a puzzle that consists of unlocking three distinct levers.

How to Unlock the Grey Warden Vault in Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Lever 1

The order in which the levers are activated is flexible; you can tackle them in any sequence, but all three must be engaged to unlock the vault. To locate the first lever, proceed to the fortress. Look for a ladder that is obstructed by metal sheets. Nearby, you’ll find an explosive pot. Use a fireball spell to detonate it, which will cause the ladder to drop down.

Once you ascend the ladder, a wisp can be found atop the ruins. Collect this wisp and head towards the entrance, turning left to follow a narrow passage. You’ll soon come across a hole in the wall, where the wisp will blink and possess a skeleton. Use the skeleton to activate a lever, which will open a door revealing the first lever. Additionally, there’s a nearby chest with valuable items to collect as a reward.

Lever 2

Moving on to the second lever, make your way to the courtyard as shown in the accompanying image. Here, you will spot a hallway blocked by a small cart. Destroy the cart to reveal three levers; the correct sequence to activate them is left, right, center.

After successfully activating the levers, exit to the courtyard and ascend the stairs situated on the left. Once you reach the top, proceed to the small platform on the left. An indicator will guide you toward your next objective.

Enter the door on the right at the end of the ledge, where you will find three glowing torches. Activate the lever positioned below these torches, which unlocks another door. Inside, you’ll find various rewards as well as the second lever critical for accessing the vault.

Lever 3

The final lever presents the most significant challenge. To locate it, venture along the pathway at the end of the main hall in the fort. This path leads to an area where butterflies hover around a skeleton that subsequently begins to move, phasing through a wall.

Return to the main hall and turn left, moving parallel to a set of stairs leading downwards until you spot a ladder. Climb it to access a room that you need to exit. You will find yourself back on the same ledge previously traversed toward the second lever. Head down that platform and descend the small stairs at the end.

Instead of going down the full staircase, check beside it for a hallway that houses another skeleton, swarmed by green butterflies. Activating this will release the third skeleton near the fort’s main gate. After this, head back to the main hall where a skeleton will trigger the last lever, unveiling the room that contains the final lever needed to open the vault.

To finally gain entry to the Warden’s Vault, retrace your steps down the stairs encountered while searching for the second skeleton. Follow the pathway to the vault, where numerous chests await, offering an array of treasures for your character.
