Celebrating Dragon Age Day 2024 with New Features and Events
BioWare recently marked Dragon Age Day 2024 with a series of exciting events, surpassing the previous month’s Mass Effect Day. This year’s celebration included a launch of the new character creator for Dragon Age: The Veilguard, an engaging Q&A session, and the unveiling of special in-game cosmetics.
Introducing the Standalone Character Creator
The standout feature of the day was undoubtedly the standalone Character Creator for the latest installment, Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Accompanying this release is Patch 4, which is set to launch shortly, making the character creation tool available for free across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation platforms.
As BioWare explains, “For those who have yet to jump into Dragon Age: The Veilguard, you can now create a Rook before purchasing the full game and transfer your character over, as long as you’re on the same platform.”This feature allows players to spend as much time as they need perfecting their characters, with no time constraints restricting creativity.
New Content and Updates for Players
In addition to the Character Creator’s release, players of Veilguard will receive an original armor set, body paint, and the iconic nose blood smear for the protagonist Rook, all available for free. This can be claimed by completing “The Singing Blade” quest in the game. The latest update also introduces new game settings, including the ability to toggle Bloom and options for a hidden UI and photography mode within the pause menu. Focus on Future Developments
While BioWare is actively pushing out quality updates for their latest RPG, they have confirmed that no further story content will be developed for Veilguard. The studio’s resources and attention are now directed towards the upcoming Mass Effect title, generating excitement among fans of the franchise.
Engage with the Developers
If you have questions for the developers behind Dragon Age: The Veilguard, you can participate in an ongoing Ask Me Anything (AMA) session hosted on the official subreddit for the game. This is a perfect opportunity to engage directly with the team and learn more about their creative processes.
