- WizTree now hides drives that are obscured by Windows Group Policy settings. Users can still access these hidden drives through the ‘Select Folder’ option by manually entering the drive name (e.g., “c:”, similar to Windows Explorer).
- The percentage calculation for file extensions has been corrected when scanning multiple items concurrently.
- Default display percentages will now be based on “allocated”values, enhancing accuracy, unless the sort order is adjusted to “Size.”
- The duplicate detection method has been upgraded to consider file name, size, and date, improving efficiency for new installations.
- Users can now specify the location of the WizTree configuration folder through a command line parameter (e.g., /configfolder=”c:\WizTreeConfig”).
- Alternatively, a new registry key can be created: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Antibody Software\WizTree, with a string named “configfolder”set to the desired folder path.
- It is important to note that the command line parameter will take precedence over the registry configuration. This feature applies to both the installer and executable versions of WizTree (4.24 or newer).
