The update allows users to modify the location of hardware indicators—small notifications that appear during actions such as adjusting volume or brightness. Previously fixed to the top left in Windows 10, now in Windows 11, these can be repositioned to the bottom.

To change their location, navigate to Settings > System > Notifications to find the new toggle titled position of on-screen indicators. You can select from top left, top center, and bottom center, with the default remaining bottom center.

4. Updated Advanced Settings

A new Advanced Settings page has been introduced within Settings > System > Advanced. This replaces the previous For Developers section and brings additional functionalities, enhancing File Explorer and integrating GitHub management directly within the interface.

Users can now view critical GitHub information, including the last commit and code differences, right from File Explorer, provided they select a repository folder. Notable improvements also include enabling the long path feature for files, overcoming the traditional 260-character limitation that often results in errors.
